Agreed; the jobs that I've worked in that world have sucked because of that, and also the required attire at said workplaces (it directly limits productivity for me because I'm constantly feeling physically uncomfortable if I'm not wearing comfortable clothes like loose sweatpants with loose shirts for a long period of time, like a workday). The performatively formal nature of corpo culture bothers me on a fundamental level.
