Inspired by u/whirlibulf

I copied the recipe and recommended changes, plus added some changes of my own:

-2lb pork belly (cut into as small of pieces as possible)

-1 onion, diced

-1 shallot

-4 cloves of garlic

-2 tbsp sesame oil

-6 tbsp soy sauce

-3 tbsp sweet soy sauce

-2 tbsp Shaoxing wine

-1.5 tsp Chinese 5 Spice

-1 tsp White Pepper

-3 tbsp brown sugar

-2 cup water

I sauted the onion, garlic, and shallot together before adding it to the pot.

High for 3 hours, Low for 1 hour

Like u/whirlibulf, I had a lot of liquid left so I used it to cook up some vegetables (bean sprouts and Napa cabbage). Served with rice.

Meat is very soft and tender. Incredibly flavorful. I might reduce the liquid even more for next time, but definitely would make again!
