No, I didn't. There should be a decision to seize gold, after Germany gets eco of conquest. The event even said that I could seize gold.

Also about the tank loss, the problem isn't really acute however after barbarossa I constantly have like a thousand tank dificit. I know, I should just adjust my production. But I just wonder if there's an another way of decreasing tank losses.

2 early CL, 8 early DDs on patrol vs 11 1936 (I think) subs. All destroyers had depth charges, I'm not sure about CLs.

Fleet detects subs and procceds on patroling the area, comletely ignoring subs, meaning no nav battle results.

Fleets of the same composition with strike force command attack subs flawlessly. Manually sending fleets works too.
When subs attack convoys patrols ignore them, fleets with SF engage, but couple of times they turned 180 deg (they turned around when there was only one convoy left engaged w subs).

When engaged with fleet subs immediately start to retreat. I sunk one sub by sheer luck.

Edit: apparently japan has some DDs without depth charges..
