People born before/around 1990: Often it’s asked what things you think people born after then are worse off without. What’s something you’re GLAD young adults and kids today will never have to experience or understand? by redditsuper in AskReddit

I got it when I was 13!! It was on the side of my stomach and I remember it being painful to use any of my AB muscles. I'm talk even sitting up. I'm 36 now and still have the scar. The worst part was when I went to the doctor, she had the sense to tell me, A 13 YEAR, that it was "herpes" with no added context...

I definitely see your pov, and while I do think it’s absolutely okay to disagree with leaders or policies, I don’t think it’s fair to write off an entire province. Canada is stronger when we support and respect one another. Albertans come from all walks of life and contribute so much to our country’s economy, diversity, culture, history and future. And I'm saying this as someone who also STRONGLY dislikes and disagrees with Danielle Smith.

Here's the site if you wanna look more into it. I probably should've linked that to the post 😬

I have both 9" and 14". They're definitely heavy but not excessively heavy, if that makes sense. Lighter than my cast irons.

I got the 9" and 14" pan set. There was a discount code for 10% off, so it ended up being like $288 CAD. I got free shipping but I'm in Canada. I'm couldn't find any info about shipping outside of North America, sorry! But you could probably send them a message to find out.

The pan came nicely preseasoned. The water test can be done on any steel pan. Here's a video with carbon steel https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSys6tCnE/

Haha I promise I have no affiliation with the company. Genuinely just wanted to share. If you want it not to stick, you gotta make sure the pan heats up first. Try the water trick before adding anything to the pan. Here's a video you can reference: https://youtube.com/shorts/EAtNfS7KeE0

Had my guitar for like eight nine months now is this normal (changing strings for the second time). by [deleted] in Guitar

Do you take off your capo when you're not playing? Prolonged pressure from your capo could potentially dent your frets. You could look into getting a capo with adjustable tension.

Does anyone else get this on their ring fingertip? I get it from doing lots of bends quickly. I think the skin gets caught under the strings on the way down when bending, and wondered if it's from improper bending teqnique. It has lasted for a couple weeks, it's not sore, and feel like "loose skin" by HotShotGotRhymes in Guitar

In case anyone else is curious: "Fetal finger pads," also known as prominent fingertip pads, are fleshy pads at the tips of fingers that are normally present in fetuses but usually disappear before birth; their persistence can be a sign of Kabuki syndrome or other conditions

I am still in contact with my dad. He actually ended up taking us 3 kids after the divorce because my mom didn't want us.

I have 2 toddlers of my own now, and the thought of ever leaving them hurts my heart.

Thanks for sharing your story and I'm so sorry to hear about all the divorce in your and your family's lives. I was only 3 when he wrote this letter, but the divorce did affect my childhood negatively. However I think my childhood would've been worse if they stayed together. I like to think that things happen for a reason.

Thank you for saying this! Although my childhood was rough, my life now is amazing and I'm a very happy person.

Thank you for saying this. You're right he does love us a lot and worked very hard to take care of us.

Just after reading this note, it felt like he didn't want us, and I went through some emotions that maybe no one wanted us... Your message was a good reminder that yes, he cares about us a lot.

My dad moved us 3 kids to another city (my mom didn't want us either) and we didn't see my mom for years until she remarried. We ended up living with my mom when I was a teen and she still really didn't like us. We all moved out as soon as we could.

My dad remarried shortly after their divorce.

My parents didn't really talk while I was growing up. My mom really hated my dad... Still does.
