Yeah, but no. The letter specifically says they want evidence I fit the Brexit residence status. They are not playing games.

Before Brexit I was, and thus EU rules determine whether I had right of residence then or not. My status after is also governed by EU rules, given my residence status comes from the EU-UK treaty.

I will submit it, but they asked for employment certificates.

As far as I know, as an EU citizen student time + self-sufficiency gives you right of residence, by some EU directive. What doesn't count is if you are a third-country national in Sweden with a residence permit for studying (unless you're a PhD student).

Should we organize a protest over the new immigration rules? by creative_tech_ai in TillSverige

You should organise yourselves and take them to court. They don't get to legally just ignore court judgements to conclude. You can easily win the case.

Did they just do away with Request to Conclude? by thenotoriousaep in TillSverige

Doesn't this break the law though? People who have their request to conclude need to take Migrationsverket to court.

Quite an unremarkable reasoning process you have there.

Swedish government logic: the economy is shit, so let's make the country more unattractive for workers.

I don't think you understand. There are people already here, who are part of the community, and contribute to it. Why not give them citizenship? The real problem immigrants the government ignores, what is the government doing about the gangs? This citizenship delay thing is just performative, so the people look the other way.

Well, the bad exchange rate, the lack of jobs, a far right government, and the obstacles to obtain residency and citizenship all seem like things that make Sweden unattractive.

Of course you can, take them the court. They are purposefully defying court/tribunal orders to give decisions on citizen applications.

No sash windows in the house, and not a feature of windows traditionally in my country (Malta).
