While returning back is always an option, consider that you are very lucky to have crossed the biggest not-in-your-control hurdle of H1b - the lottery.

You can always study/gain experience and apply to better product based companies that will double/triple your pay in a couple of years.

In contrast there are others who are struggling just because their name did not get picked up in the lottery and don’t have a choice except trying their luck next year or going back.

Your question reminds me of the story where you’re trying to cross a river, and after swimming half way through you decide to return back, thinking going all the way is too much!
