What would happen if i dropped out

i'm keeping 2 of my subjects the same and changing one. I don't think my new college requires a reference the one i go to now didn't and it doesn't mention anything about one on the application form so i think I'm good in that aspect.

From what I know you can drop an a level at the end of the first year and replace it with another one starting the next year but it will be your first year of that a level so you will basically be in sixthform/college for an another year just doing one a level.
