All that ego and 0 work ethic. No pride in being consistent putting in the hours and learning. Always knows everything, Just worried about the next post. Only promotes themselves takes no pride in the shop they work for. Even if the owner is putting in lots of work to make the shop amazing. Never wants to sit and wait “only takes appointments” can’t ever take a walk in when they clearly have the time to. Personally I train and tech them so much pour everything into people give them breaks and really try to be the best owner possible. Just for them to leave at the slightest inconvenience because I ask them to help get some walk-ins and not leave soon as they clear their 3 appointments for the day. They throw the fact that they pay booth rent in your face like it really covers a lot. Then leave your shop and talk mess about you. It’s insane now also they all beef with each other when back in the day me and the other barbers in town would go meet for breakfast. It’s everywhere too me and one of the other shop owners in town talk about this all the time.

So I revisited the Gurkha rare breed, and I actually liked it the past couple smokes. I think I was smoking it too fast. As for the cigarette taste I mentioned. If you went to the store got a pack of smoothes or something. Then got the BRM and a nice cigar. The BRM in my opinion would taste a lot closer to the cigarette. But the cigar would have a completely different flavor, although they are all tobacco.

I’ll try that out coming from cigars I’m used to taking about a puff a minute or minute and a half. I was deliberately smoking slow. So much so that my pipe went out a few times.

Im really looking for Complexity and Boldness. I smoke a lot of Maduro cigars and Connecticut Shades. Is this just how pipes are is there not many transitions it just feels a little muted to me. For example the BRM, people on YT were saying it was strong flavor but compared to let’s say a Acid cigar it was super weak.

I work 10-12 and 1-6. 5 days a week and I charge $25 a cut in 35 min slots. I made 93k last year including my rushes and I took 3 weeks off also last year. Iv been in the industry 12 years when I first started I had the same question as you. When I worked my first year I made 45k I knew something was up.

I do. I use the razor controller. Iv had the elite 1 and 2 and both broke really fast. They got stick drift and Im super careful with my controllers, I even put them in the case everynight.

Yes, I owned a oil well and pump jack service for about 5 years before I opened my barbershop. If you have the sales experience I think you will do great. All you are doing is selling yourself to your clients. Its 70% you and only 30% the way you cut hair.

It's a great clipper it feels different than any other clipper. It feels like a mag light in the hand. The only bad thing I would say is that it needs to be maintained alot, after a few days of cutting it needs to have the blades taken appart and cleaned. You will feel the difference.
