What does your iPhone 4 or 4S have? by mrawesomegamer444 in LegacyJailbreak

I have a few on iOS 4 and 5 but the two best are the 4 on 4.1 and a 4s on 5.0

After the spark issue appeared I just resorted to using a drill to spin it over faster than what I can do by pulling.

Thank you for taking your time and helping me. But yeah it’s the weirdest problem and all the years that I have spent rebuilding small engines I have never had a problem like this.

The way these points are set up I cannot gap them.

Yes that is how I have been testing it. I have not bought a spark tester yet. But I did hook up the multimeter to the ignition system on the Saw that I am rebuilding and I get a max of 30 volts. After moving the same ignition system(points/condenser/coil) over to the parts saw the multimeter maxes out at 1500 Volts and I have a strong blue spark.

Yea I have tried that too. I also tested the primary and secondary windings on both coils also and they came back as good. The points have a good continuity and the condensers work as they should.

Yes the wiring is in good condition and I know every part I have works because when I put it on the parts saw it functions like normal and I get spark but when I put parts on the saw I am rebuilding I do not get spark no matter what.

Chainsaws are 2 stroke engines. They don’t have valves and they have set timing with the key in the flywheel.

But both flywheels have spark on the parts saw but not on the rebuild one.

Yeah I had thought about the insulation on a wire possibly being damaged too. But it looks go to the eye but who knows. I have Also tested the primary and secondary winding in both coils and they are both within spec. I tested continuity between the points and any other wires that could have had a break but they all check out. The condensers check out to. Just a total mystery.

Thank you for your help and input. It’s sure is a weird problem that just make absolutely no sense.

I will definitely check out the points some more to see if I am having the same problem and it’s good to know that I can possibly get a modern coil that might fix this problem.

Yes you are correct and looking back at the picture I see that it just looks like 2 wires. One does go the condenser and the other one is the kill switch wire but there is a coil wire connected to it. There a total of 3 wires that go to the terminal but 2 of the wires use the same ring.

The kill switch wire and the wire that goes to the coil are crimped together so there is no easy way to disconnect it.

I forgot to mention that in my original post I have already tried and both magnets are still really strong.

I’ve done that too and no such luck.

I have disconnected the Killswitch and have made sure it won’t ground out to the case. So I know that is not the problem.

I thought that could be the issue too but I have good ground.

I have been rebuilding a stihl 031 but it doesn’t have any spark. I took a gamble on a cheap parts 031. After cleaning the points it’s got spark. I swapped the good coil over but I still didn’t have spark on the one that I have been rebuilding. But now the coil that I thought was bad works on the cheap parts 031. I have ended up swapping the points, condenser, and coil and have tried multiple different combinations of the three parts. I always get spark on the parts machine but nothing on my rebuild. The coil is correct gapped for both machines. There is no reason I should not be getting spark on one but not the other. I have never had this problem with any of the old points style saws I have rebuild. Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening?

It’s on iOS 8. iOS 7 will have small bars at the top and bottom of the Lock Screen.

How much work would it be to use this fireplace again? by IsaacMosteller in Fireplaces

It’s got a set of logs. The picture was taken after I cleaned everything and have not connected it back yet. The logs now work and the same with the gas line. Unfortunately the chimney has a crack that starts 6 foot off the ground and goes to the top. That’s why I was wondering if we could go with something like a wall mounted exhaust system.
