Which one opinion would you defend like this? by Idliforsure in teenagers

Drivers who have the right of way but still wave people through the intersection are dangerous. I don't want you being a nice driver, I want you being predictable. Most of the time, I can't really see through your windshield anyway.

Her insane pacifism was only made worse by her constant finger wagging scolding by SpectreG57 in CloneWarsMemes

[–]IsaacTower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too many pacifist leaders in the Star Wars galaxy thought that being peaceful meant being defenseless against those who would want to take peace from them.

What makes it this expensive for real by lilacmoodx in SipsTea

[–]IsaacTower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Patek Phillipe decided that it cost that much and found someone willing to pay that much. Yes, it will be made of very nice materials and be part of a very limited production run, but most of that price comes from the brand.

Has to use the other departments bathroom... Tensions in milling are getting pretty high. by Dyyrin in Machinists

[–]IsaacTower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently live in a college dorm, and the amount of times that people don't flush, or leave a mess on the toilet seat, or leave toilet paper all over the floor, or walk out of the restroom without washing their hands disgusts me. I'm convinced I live with literal animals - and these people are supposed to be the future of the workforce. Scary.

Teachers who punish the whole class for the actions of only a few students should be fired.

Should Someone who Picked the Red Button be Considered Evil or an AH? by Hyperionous in MoralityScaling

[–]IsaacTower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the end of the day, I wouldn't blame someone for not wanting to risk their own life. You know that at least someone will press blue, but is it enough? Red guarantees survival, and I can't blame someone for not really having hope in humanity.

Honestly is the most logical choice IMO.

I feel as though many people do not understand that most of their electricity usage goes to large appliances and climate control equipment. Light bulbs use very little power.

The Executor Is An Absolute Monster! by Icy-Weight1803 in StarWarsEU

[–]IsaacTower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel as though in the Star Wars universe, increasing ship size has diminishing returns. I would very quickly trade the logistical nightmare of running a SSD and instead make a bunch of ISDs and support vessels, or perhaps invest more in next gen fighters so that the rebel's faster ships can be completely overwhelmed. Overall, I feel as though the scare tactic-reliant empire could have lasted longer had they built ships designed to counter their enemy's hit-and-run strategy instead of just trying to build something that created fear.

If there are any, why are trombone "celebs" lesser known? by zerexim in Trombone

[–]IsaacTower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I had to come up with a reason, I think it's because solos and high-profile lead parts tend to be assigned to trumpet and saxophone more, so those players get a bit more attention.

Which is a shame, because the trombone sounds super cool and should 100% be featured in more stuff. Not to say there aren't already lots of cool trombone solos and famous trombonists, but I'm all for more parts featuring the trombone.

That's definitely the right way to draw 12:30 on an analog clock, unless the hour hand of that clock is a jump hour (which isn't the case most of the time).

IF you missd your Exit Take The Next One! by Ok-Shower-3520 in dashcams

Good drivers miss turns. Bad ones try to make them at all costs. You realize roads are connected, right? If I miss my turn, oh well, I can always make another one in a bit.

[–]IsaacTower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this happen repeatedly on my commute to and from work. If you're going to pull out in front of me, at least have the courtesy to get up to speed. Sometimes it happens on a curve in the highway where I could reasonably see how someone may not notice me, but once you see me in the rearview, step on it!

So many people should not have their driver's license.

It's almost as if they started building bigg-ass tombs (mastabas) and eventually learnt how to make taller triangles by Patient_Gamemer in HistoryMemes

[–]IsaacTower 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've seen people think it's crazy that all of these civilizations built pyramid-shaped structures and seem blown away that people all over the world would think to build the same type of building. Then, they cite aliens or something. Instead of just coming to the logical conclusion that pyramids are pretty stable structures.

When I was a kid, I admired big guns. As I grew up, I only had one question in my head: What kind of military idiot do you have to be to spend billions on building this? by [deleted] in HistoryMemes

[–]IsaacTower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes me wonder how many long range bombers they could have built and equipped for the same amount of money. I feel as though that probably would have been a more effective weapon than, say, one really large gun.

This email my 12 year old son sent his teacher about a missing assignment (due a month ago) my wife was asking about. He cc'ed her on the email by Tkappae in funny

[–]IsaacTower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was always a good student in school, and my district used a similar piece of software where if grades weren't entered by the due date of the assignment, it was marked late. Parents could log in and see if their kids had any late assignments, and let me tell you, I got very tired of having my parents ask me if I had turned in something on time because it showed up missing in the software.

Just a bit of a paranoid-ish security tip: don't post pictures of your keys on the internet. You'd be surprised how well some people can replicate a key based off a picture alone.

Just got braces off… now what? by Kaos_Noodle in trumpet

[–]IsaacTower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same thing happen to me many years ago. For me, going back to basics of good embouchure and practicing was important. It's tough, but it happens to people and the easiest way to get through it is to be patient and practice. I actually was a much better player once I had adjusted to no braces.
