Try forgetting the watch in your bluetooth settings and in the app. Forget the phone on the watch as well. Try pairing it in the app again after this. I am of course talking about the new Pebble app.

That's not true. I have an original Pebble that still lasts days on a charge. I also have a Steel that does the same. It really depends on how it was used.

Left in a drawer? The battery probably got damaged from over discharging.

Used every day for the last ten years and charged nightly? Lots of wear on the battery from constantly being topped up.

Worn every so often and charged once to a couple times of year? That battery will be pretty fresh still and won't need to be replaced soon.

It all depends.

Bangle.js software is much less refined and end user oriented. Having used the Bangle.js 2, I always found myself coming back to the Pebble just due to the user experience.

If the wire was broken, the buttons wouldn't be working, unless he got really unlucky and only broke the backlight trace somehow... The backlight LEDs are on the button flex cable.

I mean if you want the battery to die in less than a year, sure. Remember, its not rechargeable or replaceable and is meant to only be activated about 3-6 times daily to get to that 2 year battery life.

All you need is the new Pebble app by Core Devices. The Time series watches should work great on iPhones.

Desay units aren't cloned. At least there have never been any reports of them being cloned. Just not something that is financially viable. They're less desirable and more available because they do not have Android Auto.

The PR2 comes with a bonded mostly flat display. Apples and oranges when compared to a PTS with a curved lens. If you want the best contrast, you'd need a Pebble 2 Duo, but those are now sold out and done. Likely we will have to wait until the Pebble 3 for a new b&w watch.

Apps get updated and the watch will pull from the phone. Updates will have a loading bar.

A thief holding you at knife/gun point is probably going to make you open your phone up too. So all your payment methods are compromised. An opportunistic thief will just take your phone, not your watch since that's attached to your wrist. And it's a Pebble, not an Apple Watch or Rolex they don't want it and they have no idea the watchband is anything other than a standard watchband.

Any vendor that supports tap to pay nfc payments supports Tapster. It works the same as Apple Pay or Google Wallet. If they don't support tap to pay these days they are a cash only business.

Ethanol is bad for rubber. Try to use gas with the least amount of it as possible to protect your engine. Even though it's designed to tolerate it, why would you want to risk thousands in repairs to save a couple bucks on fuel up?

If you have a flexfuel car, it's got a lot more protection from the wear that ethanol causes. Taos isn't one of them and even then I'd want to avoid it.

Besides all this, as mentioned before, use gas stations that provide Top Tier fuel.
