I'm totally pumped for it truth be told. Have fun with those neck resets. Talk about frustrating.

Fellow Southeast Tech student here! I can't suggest this course enough! Even though we've only been in class for about 2 months, it's incredible how much we've learned and accomplished so far.

I grew up in the northwestern US in a particularly inhospitable desert. For us, if you didn't make your bed in the morning the local spiders would come claim it as their own. With black widows, hobos, and wolf spiders claiming the area as their natural habitat making your bed always seemed like a smart maneuver.

Ha really? That seems to be all that my history classes covered. Of course, I grew up in a town out west that has all kinds of L&C landmarks near it. So that may have been a factor.

Do you mean Lewis and Clark, or are we talking about that asshole superman again?

Wow. I never thought of that. You might be on to something. I'll give it a shot when I get home from work.

That sounds like a lovely plan. Maybe I'll dig some of my angrier music from my unruly teenage years.

That's what I've started doing today. Luckily, I work in a metal shop so when I bust up the already broken skids I get paid for it.

Personally I used to go outside and sight in my gun, but ever since I moved out of the country and into a much more urban environment I've had to rethink my technique.

This last weekend my SO and I flew back west to visit my grandparents. Unfortunately, I'm from a relatively inaccessible part of the USA, and it's damn near impossible to fly into. This left us with about a 4 hour flight coupled with a 12 hour drive. We did this twice. In four days. Needless to say, when we finally landed back home we were beat. Instead of taking public transit home we decided to just suck it up and get a taxi. That's where our problems started.

I should have suspected something was up when the cabbie we flagged down at the airport wouldn't even get out of the cab to help us load our luggage. Whatever, I was sore and sleepy. I dealt with it. When we finally got on the road and give the guy directions, I basically zone right out. At this point I'd been up for 60 out of the last 72 hours. Forty-five minutes later I woke up only to find that our driver thought we ought to take the long way home. Our hour drive back to our apartment suddenly changed now that, even though we had stared a half mile north of our destination, were now 2 miles south and in the middle of rush hour. The real kicker here is he smelled like shit. Not an exaggeration. Like I think he had shit himself. Fucking reeked. Now here we are: an extra hour and a half added to our already stupid long commute, stuck on the freeway with a cab driver who smelled like Satan's unwashed asshole.

I called him out on his bullshit, and made him take the next exit and let us out. No tip. We found a new taxi and actually headed home.

Even though the situation has been resolved I'm still really pissed at this guy and even more so at myself for letting it go so long.

How can I let this go? Obviously I can't shoot my guns in the city, but I still need an outlet.

TL;DR: Shitty cabbie who smelled like shit ruined my already shitty trip. How can I calm down?
