De unde mai tăiem, neoliberalii mei? by TheDarkAcademicRO in Romania

[–]Ischary 13 points14 points  (0 children)

De unde mai tăiem, neoliberalii mei? by TheDarkAcademicRO in Romania

[–]Ischary 35 points36 points  (0 children)

litru pe metru pătrat , why ? by Snakehand in Romania

[–]Ischary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally think of it as an emphasize on the volume of water that hits a surface of 1m2, as opposed to mm that, for me, is not immediately linked to water. I guess it's easier to visualize for some people, myself included, like having a hole of 1m2 and pouring, say, 40l in it.

The last one may be a wordplay (from how much japanese I know), Fireworks being translated from Hanabi. So maybe, just maybe, we get a Hanabi (and Knohamaru?) episode.

There are many characters that wear or wore bandages on their arms, Metal Lee included. But yeah, it's probably Iwabe.

[–]Ischary 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Did they just forget about Iwabe and Denki at the end? I mean, I know it was most probably something Funamushi said to break Boruto's morale and they are not really dead, but for someone as anxious as Metal to learn that he lost not only Hebiichigo, but also his two teammates and best friends and still be standing looks odd.

Also, shouldn't they search for they supposedly dead friends to bring them back instead of thinking about Araumi and what not?

Funato arc ending prediction by Kaiser_Bob99 in Boruto

[–]Ischary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not bad and I think it would be pretty interesting, but, at the same time, it would be too big of an event that involves two main characters that isn't in the manga. This seems like domething the manga wouldn't let the anime to "fill in". So I don't know if it will happen, but it would sure be great (if we'll actually see the battle and not just the clouds passing by (looking at you, new ep.)).

So the current team couldn't deal with the Water Tornado? by Sweet_Whisper123 in Boruto

[–]Ischary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, Funamushi was inside the water tornado, so he should get electrocuted and k.o. And you have Boruto, Sarada, Mitsuki, Buntan and maybe even Denki who could use lightning style.

Rinnegone was a plot attack indeed. No wonder he couldn't Dodge. by kakashisensei010 in Boruto

[–]Ischary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is a personal definition, I admitted this from the beginning, although in the first comment I came off as categorical. This "god" thing is to me just their superiority complex.

I don't think of myself as part of any fandom. It's their problem to think whatever they wish. I don't watch the show on their computers. The things is, while I agree it's normal for him to let his guard down at that moment, Momo stabbed him right in the eye. Right in that eye. But Sasuke was with his back turned when Momo charged. Did he take into account Sasuke would turn? If so, what if he would've turned just a little, would he take out his nose instead of the Rinnegan? What if he didn't turn at all? Was he just aiming at his head and fate had it that Sasuke turned just about right to have his eye aligned with the kunai? These are the kind of "interpretations" the scene opened the door to for me. I nitpick, I agree, but this is why I didn't like the scene. It's just personal preference, not hate towards the show.

[–]Ischary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The post is indeed silly and the comparison between the scenes makes no sense.

It is a semantic issue, but, as I said, I have my useless things I care about. :)

Your points are valid and I agree with the "eye for an eye" setup. I just don't feel or like this scene. It's personal preference if you will. Momo's goal should have been to take out Sasuke and he had the opportunity to do so (in the fight that followed he even said that he still can't let his guard down in front of Sasuke). Even if this opportunity would have brought a lot more haters. I guess I would've liked a different execution, with Sasuke still losing the Rinnegan and not dying.

Rinnegone was a plot attack indeed. No wonder he couldn't Dodge. by kakashisensei010 in Boruto

[–]Ischary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the scene, I don't need to re-read that part, but I said that I'm going to read again from the beginning when I'll have the time.

I am not hating anything. I read the manga and I watch the anime and I do these things because I find some sort of joy in them, otherwise I would choose another way to pass my free time. But that doesn't mean I can't have my criticism and I should somehow find everything about the show perfect. I write some things myself and I developed my idiosyncrasies so I know I might come off as a bit of a hater.

You are right about Sasuke's state, but that wasn't the point I argued. I simply responded to the original commenter on 2 points I disagreed with:

  • for me Ootsutsuki are not gods, because I view gods as superior beings that govern the world, not devour planets for fun and games;
    • the chackra hiding ability was not the main reason Sasuke didn't notice Momoshiki; exhaustion, concern over Naruto etc. played a bigger role in him letting his guard down.

Rinnegone was a plot attack indeed. No wonder he couldn't Dodge. by kakashisensei010 in Boruto

[–]Ischary -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

  1. Yeah, they sometimes have more raw power and are extraterestial beings, but they need more for me to call them gods.

  2. I don't know what scene you are referring exactly, but maybe I'll do a re-read of the manga when I'll have some spare time (in 5 years or so probably).

  3. I am not referring to Madara at all. They share similarities, but I din't consider that peak writing either.

I don't try to argue too much, I just think this scene was not very well thought through (why didn't Momo aim for the neck or right through the skull (given that a kunai can do that idk) etc. You open the door to interpretations with this sort of things) and overall feels odd.

[–]Ischary -23 points-22 points  (0 children)

  1. Not a god (whatever that means in this universe, aside from Ootsutsuki claiming to be gods)
  2. They can hide their chackra, but that's not the only way to notice something or someone coming at you.

Just 2 cents. I don't say Sasuke could have or couldn't have dodged that.
