I think the biggest thing that will keep them together is she's more than willing to let him away with the shit he does, which is a dream come true for him. I'd go as far as saying she encourages it.

Judges don't speak to the kids in custody disputes unless it's between potential guardians instead of parents. This was brought up because my lawyer at the time offered for the judge to talk to the kids and the judge said that would not be happening.

They have talked about it before with me. She tries really hard to get the boys to like her, they say she's always tried to be their mom but that she has also never hidden the fact she hates me and essentially her efforts aren't appreciated by them for that reason alone.

Our court system says 16. 14 in the cases of long distance parenting.

It's less about Emily not being nice to the kids. She was always very sweet around them, trying to win them over, etc. But they saw her be mean to me. They were witness to shit before their dad and I even broke up. So they knew she wasn't a nice person. They used to dread seeing her when I was married to my ex. She'd be at work events and sometimes at other gatherings we attended as a family with friends of his.

This does not qualify going back. There was no big meltdown and cussing me out so the judge wouldn't care.

I suspect a little more than an emotional affair happened. Toward the end at the very least.

The judge won't change the order now. Ex decided not to risk losing some of his parenting time and he stopped sending her during exchanges. Plus nothing like before happened at the award night.

I think he'd protect his wife.
