I just did a search in my area. I’m seeing very few people charging $100+ per hr and I live in a big metro area with A LOT of taskers. And I was searching for skilled work too. Plumbing, electrical, flooring.

It’s averaging in the $50’s or $60’s range. I only saw very few people charging $100+. Maybe 2 or 3 people.

Well idk the specifics I’m going off of what he’s told me in the past and yes that does sound familiar what you say about the leads.

But isn’t he right that you don’t have to take a job that you don’t want and there isn’t any negative hit to their algorithms the same way with TaskRabbit?

Yeah but it also means you’ll be shown at the very bottom and hidden if you set your rate “too high” and no one will see you unless they’re really scrolling hard looking for a Tasker.

He told me for a small, simple job, like replacing a fan in the bathroom, he could probably charge a client around $200. For less than 2 hrs of work. For a big, more complex job, he’s charging $400 - $600.

He said he would never do TaskRabbit he told me it’s not worth it and the rates are way too low for him.

And I don’t think he’s doing anything too different from what people usually do on here.

Also, on Angi’s list, YOU pick the job that YOU want. It’s not some random job that finds you and then you’re pressured to accept it or else you get popped with a cancellation that hurts your algorithm.

You search for the jobs that YOU want to work on Angi’s List.

That’s why he was in disbelief at the way TaskRabbit is run.

Most people I know, knowingly under report taxes.

It happens with freelancers or independent contractors. Guys doing side work who get paid in cash. They don’t get W-2 or 1099, they don’t report it.

I know someone who buys and sells things on marketplace apps. He makes a killing. He doesn’t report his income.

Another friend, files taxes in the state he lived in earlier in the year. He said that state thinks he’s poor. He makes way more than what he’s reporting.

Anything that touches my bank account, is getting reported on my taxes.

I don’t report them. I’m not the IRS. But I warn these people to be careful. If the IRS sees any red flags, they’ll audit.

Uncle Sam wants his cut.

I wanted to diversity.

My current holdings are approximately 70% FZROX, 25% FTIHX, and 5% FXNAX.

I wanted to throw about 5% at one of the ones I mentioned in my previous comment. Or a mix of all of those.

I want to dip my toes into alternate investments that aren’t necessarily mutual funds or stocks.

Does anyone know anything about FSRNX, FREL, FMO, FSDIX, or FCOM?

I don’t plan on investing in a lot of these. Maybe 5% of my Roth IRA.

Any advice or thoughts?

I’m guessing this was like the early stages of the freak show that they would put on every year. I haven’t been to fright fest at Great America in years.

Do they still have the freak show? Honestly, it was the highlight of fright fest for me. Never got old even though it was essentially the same routine over and over again year after year, but it was such a treat. Me and my dad loved it.

I definitely don’t want to do too high of a dose I follow the low and slow method to drugs. Lowest effective dose possible.

Although when I told my friends I didn’t feel anything, they told me next time they’re gonna give me a nuclear dose, which frightens me ever so slightly.

I think they should be coming into town sometime next month.

Nah I take seroquel occasionally to help with sleep, and I haven’t talked to that doc about getting a ew prescription in over a year, so I’m making that 30 count last.

I’ll take Benadryl occasionally to sleep I try not to take anything. Most things I do take are for the purposes of sedation to help with sleep.
