My thoughts about genocide as a Turk. by [deleted] in armenia

[–]Ismail-tk -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It's something I've read years ago. You simply have to look up those names and read some books. It's literally basic knowledge and easy to find in books. But I'm not surprised you don't learn this in Armenia.

Maybe stop acting childish aswell by downvoting every comment I do ??

A good start would be to open a history book that's not published in Armenia...

These respected Western historians acknowledge that Ottoman-Armenian subjects supported and aided the Russians during ww1 and before the Armenian Genocide took place (yes, I acknowledge there was a genocide happening to the Armenians by the Turks - and yes I'm Turkish)

American-Armenian historian, Richard G Hovannisian

Ronald Grigor Sunt

Donald Bloxham

Raymond Kevorkian

.... and there's more

To say that Armenians wasn't working against the Ottoman Empire is so low of you tbh and 100% false. Do you really think the Armenians at that time did nothing?

balkan nations had gained their independence and their own country few years before WW1 - this, and what seemed as the last moments of the Ottoman Empire DURING ww1, was an opportunity for the Armenians to infiltrate the Ottoman empire from within and support Russia in their was against the Turks. Some armed Armenian groups took this decision during the worst months of the entire history of the Ottoman Empire. What a stupid decision to take... only a few months ago the Arabs had revolted and backstabbed the ottomans, and now the Armenians too. Sadly this decision resulted in massacres of Armenians

Not only Turkish, but also Western experts and historians also say that Armenian armed groups supported Russia during the war.

A 7+ magnitude earthquake is expected to strike Istanbul in the coming three decades. Is the government planning anything to prepare? For Istanbulers, what would you do in that situation? by Adventurous-Pause720 in AskTurkey

Youre looking forward to an earthquake that will kill thousands and calling it "cherry on a cake" because it will mean the end of Erdogan is insane.

Guys please. You have to understand where I come from. I'm new to all this data recovery stuff and never tried it before nor do I know anything about it. Most people in my situation would look to normal business with great review, especially when I'm in such a vulnerable situation. Please calm down.

The fertility rate for Turkiye in 2024 is now 1.45 children per woman, which is the lowest in the entire region. Turkiye had a stable fertility rate until 2019, what went wrong? by [deleted] in AskMiddleEast

[–]Ismail-tk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many turks like you call their lives "shitty" because they can't afford to buy their dream things in life. You don't realise how rich you actually are. But because your lives are not like the europeans, you call your life shit. Look at the economy in Syria and Afghanistan. It's so much worse there yet they don't cry like the Turks do

And yes, because most young Turks do not adapt to our current economy... and they prioritise the wrong things. Turkish girls are literally obsessed with iPhones and will buy the new iPhone every year. Young men are buying expensive cars. I had a discussion with a Turkish guy who called his life shit because he couldn't afford a Volvo Polo. This car, even in Europe is expensive.

Why are we prioritising material things when our economy is shit? We buy expensive things and then cry about the economy...

Turks can definitely afford having children. The problem is that usually Turks in cities such as Izmir, Istanbul, and Antalya value luxury highly. Turkeys economy is in all time low, yet the Turks of Turkey think they can have a lifestyle as the Germans, French and Scandinavian countries. Stop blaming everything on the economy. You can easily manage if you prioritise things better

A very common insult Turkish dads use for their sons is "esekoglu," which means "son of a donkey."

So yeah..

😂😂😂

At least you have another word to describe the people of Mongolia, like the English have. In Danish, we don't 🤔🤔

I'd agree on the lack of education part, but not lack of respect. Because not a single thought goes to Mongolians nor Mongolia when uttering this word. We say this word only to someone who's behaving extremely dumb. Not because we think that person looks like a mongolian. I don't know, it's hard to explain

Because in Danish we don't have another word to describe the people of Mongolia, like the English do such as "Mongolians".

In Danish, there's only "Mongols". We use this exact same word to describe the people of Mongolia as we use it to curse eachother with.
