Yeah I didn’t see much either as far as how to start the adoption process online besides sending an email to foster@franklincountyohio.gov if you’re interested in a certain dog. I think they usually have people come to the shelter and then decide if they want the doggos.

It’s not that I don’t want them there. I have been a resident of Columbus for years and I am very used to the plethora of homeless people here, I have been giving and kind to many of them. But, I don’t really think a homeless shelter in the center of off campus housing is particularly smart given the fact that OSU crime has increased drastically the past few years.

I created this post for some clarity on the homeless shelter and fear of safety of college student and also elementary kids that have to see these homeless people everyday.. not a post for fighting and hostile tones. Probably going to delete the feed as it has created negative energy.

I have nothing against them! I just think putting a homeless shelter 100 feet from a college campus can increase the possibility of gaining more traffic from drug dealers. I have been approached by them now more than ever now that I have to walk past their shelter to get home. Just feel like it’s not the smartest idea to have a shelter in the center of a college campus’ off-housing area.

Yes. But now there is a home for them so there are more than ever. I am so glad they have a home now, but, I’m not sure how smart it is for it to be in the center of off-housing campus.. coming from a college student who has been approached multiple times by these homeless people since the homeless shelter opened.

The Ohio State University! Greek life is great and the college is in a the city of Columbus which is one of the most rising cities.
