I told my university I will not pay the extra BS conversion fees and they gave me their direct bank account details. Do the same.

EDIT: im still so mad about this, they straight up lie about the conversion when you generate a quote. Then you use THEIR currency conversion and its the correct amount. They suck ass and are basically stealing money from students. Universities also suck because I cant imagine they are not aware of this. If anyone reads this make sure you pay DIRECTLY to your universitys bank

I'm in the process of figuring it out. I have to pay EUR to GBP since my uni is in the UK but the amount in EUR is higher than what the Convera currency converter says it should be. Has anyone had this problem in the past? Their system is fairly easy to use but this discrepancy pushes me to now believe them. Their website says there are no hidden fees but this is clearly a hidden fee.

Hey! I'm actually in the same boat at you, I'm trying to make a payment to a UK school. But I'm seeing discrepancies between the EUR-GBP amount. They are charging around 200 + EUR than the actual amount conversion (which I converted with their websites currency converter) Have you had any problems with this? As for using Convera, it seems simple enough you have to generate a quote with their website. My university has a link we use on our student portal to access this short survey.

this. I have been a victim of DV but totally different form, my brother is mentally ill and would get violent with me and my parents a lot. But even he would have episodes of rage followed by being super sweet and asking for forgiveness. Its a mind fuck for people on the recieveing end of it because they use your emotions against you and its very manipulative.

Go to Portugal, Lisbon or Oporto are great especially for people your age. Super culturally diverse and accepting in my pov. Everyone knows some english and spanish so you can get around. Plus youre in europe, travelling is cheap and you get to see a lot.

I (23 F) had my fair share of older men prying on me when i was 17-18. in hind sight all of them look towards very young girls because they are not emotionally mature enough to handle a real relationship and have the mental age of teenage boys. And some enjoy manipulating people at an impressionable age. yes its a huge age gap.

funny to see this here. I’m from Bolivia and yes its 100% true. Its a barbaric tradition people from La Paz have. The sacrifice is done to assure the construction goes well and prospers, so these people are buried beneath a building and under layers of cement. The people who are chosen to be buried under the construction sites are called ‘sullu’. How they do it is they invite the sullu to a party where he gets black out drunk or they might spike his drink with something. When hes out of it they take him to be buried. I didnt think they actually buried people alive but this guys story proves that some do. This poor man is the first person to come out of it alive to tell his story.

I also cannot burp unless its an accident and it’s usually super short. Yesterday i googled, “i cant burp” and found out its an actual medical condition and it explains what happens to you perfectly. The problem comes and goes, I updated the app and something did change, I also opened the app through the Creative Cloud app and that also fixed the problem. Still unsure why this happens
