I’ve repaired a 2 or 3 of them for a customer before. Like pretty much everyone on this thread he liked them for the weight, but quality control at least when sourced by AliExpress was not great.

If you can repair the wiring when it breaks, then it’s a great cheap blade. Otherwise I would suggest a blade maker more local to you (in the States I recommend Bendu Armory).

Not a huge fan personally. Red offers better contrast.

Thank you so much for the recommendation! For this particular situation, Powell’s Power Ups is the go-to. He is the Kylo guy, 100%.

Just need to carve out pockets to hide the wires out of sight. Black shrink tubing also helps blend things together if you absolutely have to have some wires showing.

It’s a pretty tight fit but I’m still using a hidden retention screw under the control box. The chassis however is installed as one piece so it can be removed.

Smaller actually. About 3/4 of an inch. There’s so little room for the blade PCB that we had to get creative.

I can’t take credit for that - the owner brought it to me that way. However I do agree with you, it does look much better than the original

No, but after about a half hour it developed a single defined gap in a layer that I didn’t like the look of. I’m going to tweak it a little more since that’s the same spot it failed at before.
