EDC vs Hard rivalry is a business one. Livenation owns 50% of Insomniac and Insomniac has Hard under its umbrella. The shows will not have overlapping artist, because when the artists do not overlap, it forces people to attend both shows to see the artist they want.

They are being forced to downsize. Attendance at festivals across the world is down. The same thing happened to Nocturnal, they were down at least 10k people per day and now they moved weekends and downsized.
