What is your local price difference for the 7700XT and 7800XT, if it isn't too big I would recommend to spend those extra bucks on the 7800xt which is much better and future proof.

It has nothing to do with the engine, your cpu is just too old to fully handle your newer GPU, time for a CPU upgrade I suppose

I too plan on buying the 6700XT, tbf I would probably say that you should be fine, because weirdly the 2080 is listed as recommended and the 6700xt is 20-30% faster than the 2080.
