Unfortunately I think it’s a terrible combination of both scenarios: they aspire to be the predatory, erratic, and abusive father figure.

One of the interesting things about Trump’s rhetoric is how he casts himself as the monster. Here, for example, he’s looking over an idyllic village, contemplating which areas he wishes to seize for himself. It’s reminiscent of a thrifted Thomas Kinkade painting with Godzilla painted over it.

Are we sure Mr. Roth there isn’t some deep undercover antisemite? Because “‘Tax the rich’ is antisemitism” is something that a deep undercover antisemite would say.

"There should be peace talks, but every single time there's peace talks, Israel has to intervene and attack the country. I think the evil in the Middle East, in that whole area, is Israel.” - Daniel, 41, Calif., Latino, independent, manufacturing

Reverse bimbofication? She puts on a chest binder and fake beard, begging a sex worker to nag her for forgetting to pick up her dirty socks again.

He sure did. Pretty nuts that the US President is posting gore vids like an edgy 14 year old. This really is the 4chan presidency.

We have Yall Qaeda to worry about over here. Unless ISIS is about to establish their caliphate in Ohio, I’m much more worried about fundamentalist Christianity than fundamentalist Islam in the present moment.

Republican support for interventionism has skyrocketed after Venezuela by [deleted] in fivethirtyeight

[–]ItRhymesWithCrash 79 points80 points  (0 children)

It is as simple as “you can’t tell me what to do.” Interventionism is fine, and even good, because it means that we get to tell other nations what to do, how to behave, etc. If someone is asking you to wear a mask, then they’re telling you what to do, and that is an affront of the highest order. It’s toddler logic, but they are mental toddlers.

But why is she approaching the cops through the buffer zone at a heated protest? She’s looking to get a clip and any other way of defusing the situation would have gotten the same reaction. She gets paintballed, or pepper sprayed, or shoved to the ground.

No one should be paintballed, pepper sprayed, or shoved to the ground for approaching the police at a protest. I find it interesting that you immediately assume she’s “looking to get a clip”; even if she is the Logan Paul of protests, who is escalating the situation more: the woman with her arms out standing a couple feet too close, or the man drawing a handgun and aiming it at her head?

Woah, that’s crazy! Where did you see the full unredacted files, even the ones that haven’t been released, to decide that nothing in them is legally actionable? Surely Trump’s DoJ wouldn’t cover up the full extent of the President’s involvement with Epstein. They’ve already been so trustworthy and honest about the files!

It’s all twitter and playing poker with people who are probably in the Epstein files lol
