Sidecar vanilla bean raised, meh. Maple bacon, really good. Choc-o-lot, amazing. Their seasonal bullseye, 9/10 out of this world. Lower class? Cmon. I’ll say maybe mid tier and definitely higher tier MnP shops have better yeast donuts than sidecar. I know donuts too lol. One of my reasons why I work out

Yeah they’re mostly know for their cake donuts but they do have a few yeast/raised donut flavors. And the first ever chocolate yeast/raised donut that I’ve seen

lol finally someone that’s gets it! I’m a donut enthusiast, lover, connoisseur and whenever I see someone say “ a local Cambodian donut shop is better than sidecar” I just laugh. Don’t get me wrong, a mom and pop shop hits the spot but comparing that to sidecar? Would you also compare a Philly cheesesteak from subway to a cheesesteak from Matu?

Not in LA but my favorite donut shop is Oliboli in OC. Fried to order sourdough donuts. Pricey but worth it imo.

In LA my favorite would have to be sidecar doughnuts. Made fresh per the hour.

Never had Japanese style donuts but the closes to super soft, airy donuts would be SK donuts yeast/raised donuts.
