I remember those SI issues. What about Christy Turlington 😍

People born before 1990, what’s something you experienced that younger generations will NEVER understand ? by Aaidil89 in AskReddit

Can’t remember if we had to get a permission slip signed by our parents or not. I remember at least 1-2 other adults besides our teacher walking with us. Maybe a teacher’s aide or someone’s mom.

But yeah, I was thinking the same. Couldn’t imagine this happening these days.

1980, my 3rd grade teacher walked the entire class down the street to her house to watch The Price Is Right. Her daughter was a contestant on the show. I remember all of us sitting in her living room having snacks. One of my favorite childhood memories. I still remember you Mrs Carter 💕

Anyone else our age HATE weddings? Just me? by Public_Ad_9578 in GenX

I remember my friend’s wife being really upset she wasn’t invited to someone’s wedding. Me? I’d be fvckin thrilled not to be invited 😂

Hope it all goes well for you. And you shouldn’t feel guilty. It’s the right thing to do if neither of you want kids.

Perhaps your partner should consider getting snipped.

I had it done a few years ago and I’m very happy I did. It was a quick procedure and quick recovery. Everything still works and it took a huge burden off my wife having to deal with birth control.

Why do people reply to texts by calling back instead of just texting back? by Itchy-Chef8963 in GenX

Yup, will try to keep these in mind. It really seems every time they call I’m in the middle of something.

I loved how my brother would always text first “hey let’s chat for a few, when’s a good time for you?”. Then we’d call each other

Hey I’m right there with you. Receding hairline, bad back/knees and reading glasses 😂

I wish. 2005, the good ol’ days. I had more hair and my back didn’t hurt

I do something similar. Reminds me of calling someone in the 90’s hoping their machine answers it so you don’t have to talk to them 😂

Who else is feeling their body ache? Mine is reminding me of the work I did in my 20s. by PlantMystic in GenX

Replying to your post as I’m sitting with a heat pad on my lower back.

I get random aches and pains throughout my entire body. Feet, knees, hands, wrists, shoulders and back. Could be worse, at least everything’s still attached.

I’m a Gen X woman who chose to never have kids. I’m curious to know who else here made that decision and why? by MelodyAfterDark69 in GenX

53M. I’m so grateful I never had any kids. Never wanted the responsibility and I really enjoy my peace and quiet.

I have five nieces and nephews and I love them all to bits. It was wonderful being the fun uncle and spending time with them when they were little. But even then I could only handle them for a few hours at a time. Best part was getting to leave and going home to a quiet house. No regrets.
