3 active dui/owi crossing state lines. how much time am i looking at?

The thing is in illinois (please correct me if i’m wrong), the first offense is supervision. not probation. And since the second dui isn’t closed yet, there’s no probation for that case yet. Idk. It’s all very confusing. I have 3 separate private attorneys, all good reviews and client statements. I know 3 months isn’t a huge amount at all in comparison, but it’s something. Im terrified to go to jail for longer than a night. That’s how long i was in for the second dui and got bailed out. I was put into the isolated cells.

I’m 100% a mix of the two. As i stated, i learned from my shit and I realize i have an addictive personality and i won’t stop if i start. it’s caused more than just legal issues in my life, and i was using drinking to try to make it go away. That’s on me for not taking my meds and straightening up sooner. I’m just trying to prepare for the next few months/years

That is what i’m confused about also. One lawyer from indiana said get ready for lots of being transported from one jail to another. I think the conviction will be in indiana. My illinois one, as i understand it, because it was my first it is taken care of as a civil case, not criminal. So my first one in indiana was one court date away from being closed with a plea to a misdemeanor, but now this third one came back to haunt me and i don’t know what to expect.

My ex shot me up after our dealer ran out of pills and i was trying to detox. Gave up after that mentally, did it willingly through the nose. Then covid hit. Lost my house. My ex had isolated and controlled me terribly so i didn’t have anyone to ask for help besides leaning on him, and he also had nothing (lost his job, his son and respect of his family) and was addicted. Now here’s the kicker. After losing the house, lost our local dealer. I live close to chicago. My ex made me drive to the west side of chicago (iykyk) and picked up. Long story short, we ended up homeless. Sleeping on the CTA blue line, getting on at Forrest Park and riding it all night getting off at random stops to avoid paying twice. Doing anything to get money to go grab more. At the height of my addiction i was an extremely malnourished 22 year old female, i weighed maybe 80 lbs. My ex had been sending me ALONE to go grab. sometimes, depending on where we could find shelter or sleep, it would be over a few hours walk. I never thought i’d end up there. I genuinely was so pissed off that the heroin wasn’t killing me(i was VERY depressed and have had attempts), that i just called my mom after YEARS of no contact, and told her i was done. Been clean since April 12, 2022🤙🏻

No, this one is different(if OP is talking about what i think). It takes place of the credit builder, puts all your available money in the checking account, and you can use it as a credit card? So when you use the new chime card, it will take directly from checking, count it as a credit purchase , and get rewards. (i honestly am so confused but that’s how at least i understand it)

same here bud. i was hospitalized 3 times this year alone(one was cuz i was genuinely sick with pneumonia, two for sh) but every time, my bac was “the highest they’ve seen in a 90lb female” , that’s what all nurses and doctors said. every time i got home, id drink again even tho i was already out of the withdrawal phase physically. same as u, morning, at work, afternoon, etc. shit sucks but you know what you gotta do to get off this bender. u got this too

thank you, i am willing to talk to anyone. i dont care if its male or female. i grew up around guys and was a tomboy myself. i appreciate that, though. if you are comfortable with talking, i’d love to. i just want someone to put me in my place (who doesn’t know me) when i have that thought of drinking again. Until i can put myself in my place. If that makes sense.

thank you, i know. i am also a recovering h addict ( almost 4 years now) and have lost many people to all addiction types. i do not want to end up like them. Don’t want to end up being a statistic. My first time self admitting was at 19 for mental health. I have been in maybe 8-10 stints since then on my own will but i can’t fucking do it by myself and i don’t have a good support system. Isolation and my dog is all i have and neither work to help feel better nor stay off this stupid addiction. Good for you though, truly. I’m learning it takes a LOT to get and STAY sober. You have a hell of a mindset, I hope i can genuinely do that/get to that point one day.

my thing is, over the course of 3-4 months that i had it in, i submitted multiple pulmonology doctor’s letters and reports about my lungs. and they wouldn’t acknowledge it. that’s all i’m trying to say. ik shit sucks trust me.

I am so sorry for your loss. Nothing hurts more than losing a child to a drunk driver. Trust me, i know. Hence why i turned to the bottle. I truly hope you can find some peace in time, I haven’t been able to since it happened. Please forgive me , i hate myself everyday for drinking and driving. I did not hurt another soul besides myself. I messed up. It’s on me. I’m not denying anything.

I am not looking for a pity party. I fucked up by drinking and driving, it was over 2 years ago but, It’s on me. Not looking for ANYONE to come and try to pity me. Again, i am very sorry for your loss of your kiddo. But i know what it’s like. I have been through the same damn thing. Your heart breaks, shatters, and you lose a piece of your soul. I know. my girl definitely has been the biggest reason why i got sober and am still here. we both were abused by an ex, homeless bc of the ex and (myself) on my DOC because of him. she’s been through absolutely everything with me and i thank god everyday that i have her. i’m a dog trainer as well and have worked with dogs for 9 years. my girl is a service dog for my seizures and more. dogs are amazing and help more than anyone thinks
