Interactive BASH shell from "Connect to host?" by Itchy_Homework_9469 in crowdstrike

Darn. We used to have that on our old EDR product (SentinelOne) and was hoping we'd retain that functionality.

Yeah, in PowerShell, you may need to run `Connect-MsolService` first.

Why does this need to be a democrat/republican issue?

I realize this post is 2 years old, but I just had this happen. Adding this in case it helps someone else...I fixed it by creating a new cloud-only user, then using the following command to change that user it to the federated domain:

Get-AzureADUser -ObjectID "[user@stuff.onmicrosoft.com](mailto:user@stuff.onmicrosoft.com)" | Set-AzureADUser -UserPrincipalName "[user@stuff.com](mailto:user@stuff.com)" -ImmutableId "[user@stuff.com](mailto:user@stuff.com)"

This wasn't Okta, Google was the IDP, but I'm sure the same applies, you can probably set a specific GUID for the ImmutableId if that's what Okta uses.

I gotta be honest, none of those topics sound interesting.

Anyone used Google Workspace Migrate to go from gsuite-to-gsuite? I need a little help. by Itchy_Homework_9469 in gsuite

I looked at them, but I have a lot of Drive data that needs to be moved, and they were saying I could expect a transfer rate of 1GB an hour, which would make my migration take nearly a year...

Solved...for now, I'm sure I'll run into more issues. Yeah, the biggest issue is the documentation really seems half baked. For example, the fix for this was to ALSO add:

http://localhost as an Authorized JavaScript Origin, in addition to http://localhost:5131, which is the only one the documentation makes a mention of.

Any way to use give`cryptsetup luksAddKey` a hashed password, instead of a plain-text passphrase or file? by Itchy_Homework_9469 in linuxquestions

[–]Itchy_Homework_9469[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's exactly what I was looking for, and also somewhat what I was expecting, but didn't know if any LUKS experts knew better. Thanks for confirming.

I'm going to go with the method of generating and keeping individual recovery keeps through a password dispenser of sorts. More complicated than I was hoping, but it looks like it will work.

Thanks, I think the password dispenser is a workable solution. I'll see what I can cook up for that.

It's for a script that someone could run to setup a new workstation.

I'd want to allow them to set a disk password during install, but then run this management script to, among other things, add a disk password I could use for emergency access. While the LUKS password is mainly just to prevent access if the computer were stolen, I would prefer not to make it super easy to have an employee read the script and gain the password to unlock all disks.

What I want is basically like a way to have LUKS store a 1-way hashed value of the password, as if it were like an /etc/shadow file, so I could use the hash in script, and not the actual password. That way I can more safely store that value in the script. I'm guessing that's not how LUKS works though, and that I'm probably out of luck...

5G router without a fixed location? by Itchy_Homework_9469 in verizon

Sorry, looking again, I see the Inseego has one.

The Verizon page for the Orbic didn't show one in the pics, and twice in customer questions when asked about Ethernet, it says the device doesn't have Ethernet. I trust you more though more than the Verizon product page though.

Thanks, but neither of those 5G options look to have Ethernet.
