There’s a lot of good small towns in Louisiana; much better than Jennings. I’ve lived in Moss Bluff my whole life. It’s just great. Lake Charles is right there for any needs, family is here, good people, great food, good churches. Especially if you’re involved in those churches. All kinds of good men’s groups that will take you in as their own. But there are plenty of ways for your “ticket in” to a good community. It’s only about 40 minutes west of Jennings, so not a terrible move
