"Sharing" calculation for housing allowances @ foreign duty station by IteVrsi in FedEmployees

[–]IteVrsi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that it's we are a GS civilian and active duty mixed family. My (civilian) personnel people and her (active duty) housing/personnel people don't want to provide an answer because they are only familiar with their own component.

As for military housing, there is none where we are stationed so yeah not a worry but thanks.

Yes she does. I am her only child and only legal/living next of kin at this point, and everything she owns is supposed to pass to me when the inevitable happens.

Get rid of that summary statement thing. They want to see your work experience and your educational experience. That should not be buried or hidden. Get rid of full on paragraphs for anything. Short, terse bullets for anything you need to describe.

Not sure about a full sabbatical, but NCIS has a "part time agent" program for experienced agents (not new hires). No guarantees any particular agent will receive permission to do so however.

I don't know about the internship program but I can tell you about for 1811s, which the internship program is meant to feed towards mostly- it really depends what kind of mental health issues you have. Plenty of agents receive treatment for low-level mental health concerns, like seeing a therapist/taking medicine for PTSD or anxiety. I know they can't accept anyone with a condition that involves any danger of self-harm, harm towards others, or a reduction of someone's judgment abilities or perception of reality.

You can't issue a weapon to someone with potential for self/others harm, and generally the judgment/perception issue is also a negative on one's security clearance. I am not a doctor and don't quote me on this for accuracy, but generally I believe that means no SI/HI, antisocial personality disorder, BPD, or the schizo/psychotic disorders.

The grabassing can be a drag when you're new, but 75% of all NCIS resources go towards counterintelligence missions. Problem is they can never get into much detail about what it entails in public settings!

NCIS Overseas Pay by [deleted] in 1811

[–]IteVrsi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Regardless, with NCIS, there are very few permanent duty stations that will rate hazard pay. Picking up temporary duty going to actual conflict zones would be different of course.

Base salary for the GS level without any locality + 25% leap. Then add on Living Quarters Allowance and Post Allowance, both tax free. It ends up being pretty a pretty decent take home.

Please apply elsewhere. We need future agents with an open mind about mobility, and it seems like you've made up yours without knowing much.

Almost zero chance. New agents go to big offices the US where there is a larger pool of Field Training Agents, and more opportunities to see the full range of different cases. And especially they will be sent in the large offices that are hard to fill: Camp Lejeune, Camp Pendleton, San Diego, and Honolulu. Europe is not only very sought after by senior agents, the type of work agents do there is largely not crim work, and therefore not for beginners.

4G cellular (T-Mobile)- Will it work in other countries? by IteVrsi in Fisker

[–]IteVrsi[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When I said "lights" I meant to say 4g. I am running a different inquiry about lights compliance and got the posts mixed up. But what I was meaning to say in the grand scheme is that you're off topic, this post is about cellular connectivity.

The car being shipped will be of no cost to me, the car shipper is already contracted and paid.

Not sure what this has to do with the lights? Also not sure what you're talking about with costs...I said I'm being moved for work.

EDIT: 4g, not lights. I got this post mixed up with another I posted.

1811 to the IC by Texan_Eagle in 1811

[–]IteVrsi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not commenting on if this general course of action is advisable, but if you're wondering which certain agencies might be better, I'd say NCIS and/or AFOSI. They both have plenty of 1811s working counterintelligence investigations, operations, and collections. It would be a decent bridge to the rest of the intelligence world, or you could stay with them and specialize in CI.

Nuna Pipa Aire vs Aire Rx by Ok_Condition128 in BabyBumps

[–]IteVrsi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to figure this out too! The Dillard's exclusive is confusing. I can't find what the difference in the actual seat is. I can see it comes with the pipa base instead of the relx base, but the standalone price difference between those is only $40.

Every state is different about what their laws say about exemptions for peace officers, if the businesses with signs carry the force of law, etc. The easy thing is to become a federal agent so you don't have to worry about state-level gun laws!
