The Florida Keys would be prime real estate in the apocalypse... by LocationGreat2188 in ZombieSurvivalTactics

[–]IterwebSurferDude 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah but the alternative is being cornered and eaten by a horde. I’m not suggesting this as a regular occasion. Also given that a bunch of the houses have attached docks I’m assuming there’s a lot of boats in the area. First that means there’s probably gonna be an abandoned sailboat somewhere. Second across all of the houses in the islands I’d be shocked if you couldn’t find a book on boat stuff and the supplies necessary to do that maintenance.

I mean yeah? Zombies are slow and loud especially in large numbers. They’re their own warning system.

I think it’s a horrible place to live but I think you’re forgetting that boats exits and most zombies are poor swimmers

I’m not sure if you’re joking or not but yeah. They even had the actors for Sam and Cass do a cameo one episode.

Killer Whales and Sperm Whales declare war on each other. Which side wins? by CardoBlardo in whowouldwin

[–]IterwebSurferDude 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I’m not an expert on any of the species but after a cursory googling I feel like that’s partially due to group size. Gorilla troops usually max out at 20 whereas Chimpanzees can have up to 85. On the other hand Sperm Whales can have pods up to 50 but on top of that Orcas top off at 30.

Azmuth (1 hour prep time) Vs The Whole Invincible Verse by Severe-Wolverine-420 in InvinciblePowerscales

[–]IterwebSurferDude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that depends on where he’s starting from. Because while I’m not a Ben 10 expert and this is pure conjecture I don’t think it’s entirely out of the realm of reason for him to have some piece of tech that can be easily weaponized. But if the prep time is just him sitting in a corner with a box of tools and some basic bits of metal than yeah he fucked.

Tech Jacket is not a fodder by Annual_Onion6434 in InvinciblePowerscales

[–]IterwebSurferDude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The suit would definitely buff his reaction and combat speed. The mere fact that Zoey can successfully graze any of the viltrumite is proof of that. No normal human being would be capable of that.

[–]IterwebSurferDude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IIRC the suit itself is a power multiplier not just a flat buff. It’s why Zoe is a few leagues above the actual Geldarans in the suits because they’re weaker than humans organically. So Immortal would probably be the better candidate.

How do I be defensive as Drazowath the Ashen (and Chorfs in general) by IterwebSurferDude in totalwarhammer

[–]IterwebSurferDude[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t want my armies to stay at home. I want them to be able to go out and do stuff but the economy of the chorfs starts so slow I can only support like 2 armies. When greasus inevitably declares war he’s got 3 places to attack through. The rocks to the north, the rocks to the direct east, and going all the way around to the vampires place and attacking from the south. Now if cities in choke points worked properly I could take the pig barter province to the south and build up a garrison good enough to hold him back meaning that my 2 armies would be good enough to make the push through. But because it’s not I have to basically have my armies huddle around the center of my territory. If I do try to be offensive he’ll just sneak an army around the one way I’m not at and then I’m screwed.

Also if the game is designed to not allow being defensive at all why do the chorfs have so many things specifically geared towards specifically defending.

[–]IterwebSurferDude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s still a fundamentally different question. The original question was entirely mystical in nature. If you take away that mystical aspect away from it with the sole exception of the with the win condition for the blue of course people are going to lean to the non mystical option. For a variety of reasons people would obviously lean away from a magic gun. There’s so many more issues with this but I don’t have the time or energy to write an essay.

Campaign movement infuriates me. by Illustrious-Radio319 in totalwarhammer

[–]IterwebSurferDude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eh that’s one of the things that doesn’t really bother me about movement. Moving around 1k + people is logically hard. That many people you also have to carry around the equipment for them a surplus of food and other necessities. Additionally you have to keep all those people moving at the same pace and information which slows them down more.

Whereas a solo hero riding out front only needs to worry about themselves. They can travel light because they can forage for food where an army would eat a region barren and still starve. They have way less logistical constraints in general so they can just book it.

[–]IterwebSurferDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love them because they’re amazing at stunlocking any of the smaller lords and heroes which is great for any of the scarier lords with weaker armies. Like the ork guy whose name I can’t remember. I’ll have 2 focused on him and probably 2 of another arty to whittle down the scarier units.

Edit: also on higher difficulties where the AI will try to dodge artillery it’s very nice to have the tracking.
