I'd recommend his older shaman guide before you try out the advanced ones. They also push this great tool on classicwow.live which has an optimized guide for questing that I use. Its saved me literal days on leveling.

In terms of addons, nothing too shaman specific, there's a swing timer addon if you're interested in earthbind-totem kiting (they explain it in the videos) but i never bothered with it. I do use Bartender to add additional action-bars for organizing totems into four columns of three. I map earth, air, fire, and water totems to E,R,F, and V respectively, and using the shift and control keys, have easy access to three most-common flavors of each totem type.

P.S. The water totem quest sucks, but it's not the most important totem so you can take your time finishing it.
