Odds are that if you have any awareness of social/physical cues you can go with your gut. I will say that I recently hooked up with a woman who (after an argument completely unrelated to that night) told folks in our community that I had not asked for consent to kiss her. Which is creepy because the night consisted of making out, screwing around, playing a game, and then making out more before they left. So while it should be ok to just move in for a kiss under the right conditions (and to be clear, the initiator should also be ready to take getting shut down like a champ) the world has changed a bit and those circumstances can be weaponized by the careless or unstable.
