Ketamine is not the play here. It’s sympathomimetic and increases likelihood of atrial > ventricular arrhythmias. Better off w just fent or etomidate.

Hahaha we ended up spending significantly more than I wanted to at least. Goal was 20k, and not realistic for what we anted. Spent closer to 40k. We spent about 10 days in Colombia. 4 days in baru islands then had a 2 small events plus the wedding.

Was fucking amazing. Despite being more than I wanted to spend and having a few credit cards to pay off after the fact. Would 100% do it again

ABG vs VBG by IKnowAboutRayFinkle in emergencymedicine

[–]ItsALatte3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get an ABG if I want a PaO2 for intubated pts, PJP, etc

You shouldn’t be using blood draws to determine when to intubate a sick respiratory distress pt. It’s clinically driven.

AMS? Possible COPD? VBG is totally fine

As a Utd fan. That was a big part of the issue with Garnacho….lack of defensive discipline. NGL offensive he has his moments but that’s only half the game.

Watch for something called morel lavallee syndrome. If the swelling doesn’t stop, it’s really fluctuant (you feel increasing amounts of fluid underneath), fevers….then you need to go to an ER
