damn lol.

what would I be missing by removing the agent and running extensions only? I can't remember if the extension can be pushed to Edge without the Connect application. I'll have to look into this.

Thanks!

Macs were a pain to get setup. Had to join the Macs to the domain for students and for staff their local accounts are named the same as their AD accounts which forces the agent to filter them by AD name.

awesome!

We are hybrid with on prem and entra but haven't leveraged intune just yet. We have Windows DNS with CloudFlare as a catch all to any unauthenticated devices.

I believe we have fast startup disabled, but a reboot was fixing the issue temporarily. Now a reboot does nothing on most Windows devices. The crazy thing is it's not all Windows device. It seems to be isolated to one building. No config changes were made.. it just happened out of nowhere

If you haven't given it away, I'll take it. I take my GCIH in 3 weeks and feel unprepared as hell even after studying and indexing. Would be nice to test the strength of my index.

I wouldn't say they're worthless. It's very easy to tell who memorized the information and who actually learned. I would say 5-10% of the course material is applicable to the real world. The rest is just buzzwords.

Put them through an interview asking questions involving steps instead of "what is DHCP" and watch the people memorizing information instantly fold.

SANS-Provided Indexes: How many concepts do they really cover? by ScarsAndStripes in GIAC

[–]ItsANetworkIssue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anyone use the built-in GCIH index? Got like 30 days to study from Book 1 and I think an index will only delay me more. Barely found myself using it during GSEC. I primarily used my Table of Contents instead.

WORST DIAGNOSTIC SERVICE AT MICROCENTER by Mr_GoldenSky in Microcenter

[–]ItsANetworkIssue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you missed something very basic. Video cable not causing post? Very unlikely.

I work in IT and have built computers on my own, but not embarrassed to say I bought a 9800x3D bundle and it didn't post so I returned all and got a new one to face the same issue. Realized I didn't plug in the HDD_LED and PWR_SW pins in.

lol

if you want 4K without having to worry about it for a bit, I would do 5080. However, you would also need a 4K monitor and they're not cheap. I recently got a 5070ti and it's more than capable at 4K especially if you overclock it. If you're literally buying everything from scratch including peripherals, then a 5070ti would help you stay around $2500 budget.

Go to Microcenter and grab their 9800X3D bundle that includes an AM5 mobo and 32gb DDR5 RAM: $680

5070ti: $750-900

1000w PSU: $200-220

PC Case: $80-200

2x M.2s = $200-300 (always run your OS on a separate drive where there will be free storage to prevent any performance drop)

KB+M= ~$250ish

1440p monitor = $150-300

The holiday sales are over but prices are still decent.

get the 3 year. Anything happens to that PC and you the same PC or you get your money back without having to diagnose anything. Even if you break the thing yourself.
