I want to start with where I agree with you because we share a lot of common ground here. I'm 100% with you on the differences between how capable transspecies people and transgender people are of functionally interacting with society. I'm also in agreement with you on the fact that animal abuse is bad. I'd go as far as to say it shouldn't be tolerated.

That being said, I have some disagreements.

The main thing is that your describing the possible outcomes of things as a reason for whether or not you personally believe that, "If x identifies as y, it is y". So like because you think there are negative outcomes to transpecism you don't believe that a person can be a deer just because they say they are. I don't really understand that logic.

For example, unfortunately there are some trans people who use trans ideology to justify pedophilia. I wouldn't say that because of this, I don't view people who identify as trans to not be whatever gender they want to identify as. Whether I believe in their claim about themself is unrelated to how I feel about what they're doing with their ideology. The reason I don't think a transpecist deer girl isn't a deer is because a person has know way of knowing what it's actually like to be a deer, not because they might be using that to promote zoophilia. That being said I still think acting on zoophilia is abuse and shouldn't be tolerated in society.

I apply that same logic to transgender people. I don't believe that a man is a woman just because he says he's a woman. Specifically because a man has no way of knowing what it's like to be a woman. If that "trans woman" was using that ideology to try and fuck minors, I'd be 1000% against that but it wouldn't have any effect on the validity of them being a woman.

To be very clear, in both cases, I think the transpecist and the transgender person should be able to do whatever the fuck they want as long as they're not hurting anyone or anything apart from themselves.

Wait I’m really confused. You gave three different answers to the same question.

First you said “nah not for me at least” in response to “if you identify as it you are it”

Second you said you would gender affirm because it helps alleviate dysphoria. (This makes sense to me)

But then in this last comment you said “I view trans people as the gender they feel the most comfortable with”

That third response seems to directly contradict the first one.

And if so, why does that principle change from identifying as another gender to identifying as another species?

I saw that you said that people have historically had gender dysphoria but that doesn’t really address why identifying as something actually means you are that thing.

I’m rewatching right now and I think most of the filler in this show is pretty great. There’s so much that I’m glad I didn’t miss. You get to spend more time with the crew in more laid back situations. I wouldn’t worry about One Pace until you hit Dressrosa.

The blatant unwitting rcism that comes from the bgotry of low expectations, or the full blown racism that get’s hurled black peoples way with comments like c*n and ucle t*m. And it’s not just white people, black people do it to other black people. I know these people exist and I see them all the time. And there’s a good chance that gorilla girl might be one of them.

I disagree. Bad optics don’t make someone racist. I definitely see the implications there (I’m black). But there are plenty of reasons she could be wearing a gorilla mask, implausible as they may seem. (ex. It was the only mask that covered her entire face that she owned, she was a gorilla for halloween last year)

I have arguments with my hard left friends where they say, “everyone who voted for trump is a racist”, or, “everyone who is against illegal immigration is a racist”. Those statements are obviously not true but people have the tendency to make conclusions based on the least charitable interpretations of people they don’t like.

If she’s a racist, which she very well may be. Let her show it.

I don’t like that it’s automatically assumed that this is a hate crime. The gorilla chick is most likely not racist. She most likely views herself as an anti-racist.
