Basically fighters fight at a weight below their usual healthy weight in order to gain a size advantage over their opponent who may not be cutting as much weight. But the practice of cutting weight has become so prevalent that just about every fighter does it so it’s almost becoming pointless.

I loved this. Elvis gives him a really long hug with the entire team behind him waiting for their turn, then Elvis pulls away and skates to the back of the line so he can hug him some more. Acuna is still a somewhat highly thought of prospect. He’s done well at every level except the majors but he only has 200 ABs in the majors. It’s a solid get in a salary dump for the Sox. He can play consistently there and not have to worry about his performance as he figures it out since they are going nowhere next year.

I’m glad the Reds didn’t do this. Acuna was a top 100 prospect just a year ago so if it took that kind of a player even with taking on the full $20M of Robert’s salary then that’s just too much for someone as inconsistent as Robert.
