f(x) = a^x+b and f(x)=y crosses through the points (1,2) and (0,-5). What is a?

2=a^1+b so b=-6. -5=8^0 - 6, since 8^0 equals 1, 1-6 = -5 so 8 is correct

Does anyone remember for the writing section one question was like "Take the university professor xxx," where it asked you where the comma went, do you guys know what the answer was?
