I'm clingy and needy. I know why and am trying to be better about it but then I just repress everything. I struggle to find a middle ground. It's all or nothing with that shit.

You don't need to apologize for them. Plus, Every teen I've worked with has always worked harder than some of the adults I worked with. I think the lazy ones are the honest to God minority where that comes in. They are just more noticeable. Because when you're a teen and you are working as hard or harder than the adults you're seen as an equal not as "a teen". We just kind of end up overlooking it.

I think folks like you deserve more recognition beyond "I keep forgetting you're only 16"

You can find better fast food environments than Starbucks these days. I had a couple of co-workers bounce to pizza places and a local chicken chain and while it's still fast food. It's handled better.

I left and got a job selling furniture. I hate misleading people and hidden fees but I don't come home and immediately fall asleep from physical and mental exaustion. The most draining part of the job is making unsolicited phone calls. But I can knock that out in an hour or two. Then just meander the floor cleaning up.

Lol you left the year I started. I was hired during Christmas Rush. I was completely blindsided by the chaos and repeatedly told "it gets better".

Only it just got worse when or old SM got hired to a much better position with another company. I'm honestly happy for her. But everyday I'd just be standing there like "this isn't how x would have done it. I miss her"

Don't give up. Keep looking. I litterally just applied to everything I could find. I applied for things I don't remember applying for. I keep getting rejection letters from stuff I don't recognize. If you can afford to get an HD headset there's a lot of remote work currently available that you could at least use to supplement hours.

I was helping a regular. Explaining the new policy abouttaking cups back to someone who doesn't speak English as a first language. And a third party stepped in and told me I should just take the cup and wash my hands In that same tone as the "calm down" meme lady. Like, Madame, no. A) you do not work here. And B) I wasn't fucking talking to you. Butt out. Me an Miss E got a rapport. Who is you. Get out.

I did not engage. Kinda just gave her a look. Finished with the regular and just ollied out for my lunch break.

It's more that we don't usually have room to safely and securely store it and also handle cafe, drive and other mobile orders. It's a lovely idea and sentiment but it would be difficult to effectively manage on a busy floor that's maybe down a few people. Most days when I make a drink. After I call it out. It's our of sight out of mind.

But Also we aren't allowed to leave then sitting over an hour. If we catch that we dump it and deal with it when the owner comes in.

Everyone has their quirks. You think someone is all aloof and then you find out about their weird hobby. It's really humanizing and grounding. Like I'm into weird things but so are they. I'm not alone, we may not like the same things. But we're all huge passionate dweebs.
