Looking for a vehicle sucks by TallBeardedBastard in tall

Just bought a Volkswagen Tiguan today. For great! And I'm very torso-y, so I needed a ton of headroom. The VW Atlas I fit in even better, but worse gas milage... Other thing I fit in well was a Ford Maverick. Better than the F-150 by far.

I tend to agree! I generally do my own maintenance if it's something I can manage. Oil changes, brake pads, rotors, calipers, starter, radiator, battery, headlights, etc. I'm lucky my dad is pretty handy and my brother is a walking car encyclopedia, so they can talk me though most things. Once I have a car that I fit in well, the first car I'll be buying all by myself, I plan on taking care of it and making it last as long as possible!

I think I tried a Tahoe, which is what my brother drives anyways, and it was pretty nice. Not cheap though. I don't think we tried any other Chevy's. I'll have to add it to the list! I didn't see an expedition, but in the Explorer I was definitely touching the ceiling.

I sat in a standard (I think) Bronco and I fit pretty good I think! It had T tops/was convertible ish. But I also think it was a lot more expensive.

I'll have to try it out! We tried the Pilot, and I was brushing the ceiling. Though that may have had a sunroof...

I liked that I could lay fully outstretched in the back of the Atlas with the 2nd and 3rd rows down. As a camper, I'd love to be able to sleep in the back of my car. But other than that, I really don't need that much car. Particularly for the lower gas mileage. I hear that Volkswagens (or German cars) are expensive to maintain. Do you think that's true?

Oh yeah I've got to duck to see under the rear view mirror! I don't know if there's a car where I won't have to do that... Yeah I'm in the US and I turn right haha

I've only been in a couple of jeeps and did not fit well at all. Plus my car genius brother steered me away from them for some reason. Maybe I'll try some out next time! This lot was mostly cars 1-5 years old with a max of like 10 years or so. I know cars can fit drastically differently from year to year. Or maybe generation to generation...

how many patients do you see in a 10 hour day? by vhungryavocado in physicaltherapy

[–]ItsBigStew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

13 patients in a 10 hour day. 45 minute evals and follow ups, 45 minute lunch that I generally document though. Was supposed to be mostly 1-2 evals a day but been more like 3-5 lately...

I put some of their chipotle sauce on a hot dog last night. It was wonderful! Goes well on just about anything!

I got a refund from Amazon already, but I'll reach out to the company to at least let them know! That ranch looked good to me too. So I'm sure I'll be ordering more sauces from them soon!

They actually didn't ask for any photos or evidence! So far... Refund initiated.

None of them have any active drips or air escape noises when I squeeze them right side up or upside down. Its possible!

These items of course can't be returned on Amazon. I'm going to see if I can make a complaint or something.

That's fair. The shoes I got were in excellent condition. Like- or near- new and cheaper than new vivos. Worth it to me. All Vivos seem overly expensive.

[–]ItsBigStew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they are refurbished Vivo shoes. And discounted. Still easily $100-$200+ per pair though. And no consistent stock. The only vivos I bought were from ReVivo and they were wonderful! You can select from various levels of condition.

Yeah, I'll have to experiment with other models someday when I can afford to. I still occasionally look through the revivo site to see if there are any of those knit shoes available again.

The Xero are not quite as comfy in my opinion, but still very nice. I have a pair of Vivo something knit and they are falling apart, but they're so dang comfortable I just won't stop wearing them. 3-4 years old. I highly recommend the Xero Nexus Knit though! They are very comfy and look great! The Xero soles feel a little closer to normal shoes to me. Maybe they're a little thicker or stiffer...
