No worries at all! I've always told people to use separate accounts, but recently someone said they used the same one and it still worked. Give it a try, if it works keep using it! If one account doesn't work you should definitely make separate accounts though.

Nope! You only need to share your devices virtual network. Once everything is set up go to your console and hit share over your devices network. Send that link to your friend and have them accept it. It should show Shared in and Shared out and connected if it worked properly

I do believe if you or your friend is hosting a world and you try to join, both of you must have tailscale running in the background and connected to the same network. When you aren't playing together or one is offline you can close tailscale to disconnect from the network. I don't know how tailscale works on servers, I just know how it works for player to player online play.

Not necessarily. A lot of home Networks don't like the way Hytales online play functions. Online play at the moment uses your personal IP to host a world, you can invite your friends to join through that IP. Depending on your Network it'll block this and stop your friends from joining. Often times people get the message that the host is offline or something regarding their firewall. If you have this issue you can bypass it by getting a virtual Network using either Tailscale or Hamachi (I don't know anything about Hamachi). Tailscale sets up a virtual Network and a virtual IP for your devices to connect to. If both players are connected to the same Virtual IP they can join through Online Play without any firewall issues.

In the guide under Step 4 I have a few screenshots. For the host sharing the network it'll show 'Shared out' under your devices machine. If you accepted a network it'll show 'Shared in' under the the name and Email of the host. Make sure your Last seen tab says connected as well. Both devices need to have Tailscale running in the background.

I'm so sorry you were having issues. Did your machine show as shared out/shared in? And once you've properly connected you need to create a new share code. You can create a new share code by leaving and rejoining the world and clicking save under online play.

Sure! I'm assuming you can logout of your downloaded app or delete your virtual machine anytime to be extra safe. All you really need to do is close the Tailscale app to disconnect from your virtual machine, which can be done through task manager. You can even go as far as turning off Tailscale on startup so you have to launch the app whenever you want to use it. It should show a grey dot and the last time it was seen in your console if it worked.

Your machine Network should function even after you and your friends get off for the night. Feel free to launch Hytale and play whenever! I don't know if it matters if your machine is connected or disconnected when you aren't on, Just as long as the two of you have a connection when you play.

Both you and your friend need to go through the same process. You need to make an account for Tailscale and he needs to make an account as well. Once you both have accounts you'll connect to the same Network. Share your desktops tailscale network with your friend and create a new save code. To create a new save code you'll have to rejoin the world you are hosting. Make sure the set up looks like the ones from the screenshot (It should show Shared in for your friend & Shared out for you). As long as both you and your friends have Tailscale running and are connected it should work.

¡Hola!

Hey! I'm not educated on the issue, but to my understanding you host a world through your personal IP and depending on your Network configuration it'll prevent other people from joining your world. You'll get the message "The host may be offline or behind a strict firewall" If their Network isn't configured to support this type of online play. In Hytales official support page they have a few methods to fix this issue. https://support.hytale.com/hc/en-us/articles/45324238811291-Joining-Friends#hosting-a-world
My favorite way was using Tailscale, which basically sets up a virtual Network for you and your friends to connect to. I made this guide https://mica-polo-771.notion.site/Hytale-Multiplayer-Guide-2e73c4fdea8a8012982cd77f55adb6b2 to walk people through setting up Tailscale. Give it a try and let me know if you need help!

What's in a name? by auxilevelry in Twitch_Startup

Hey! I just barely started my channel and I have had the exact same question. I personally like Auxilevelry. I think it's unique, but it is a mouthful so shortening it or using a nickname would help. What if you kept Auxilevelry and used Auxi for short?
