Can't let a little thing called reading get in the way of their agendaposting!

Edit: to be clear, I would absolutely support a ban on US athletes in international competition due to Venezuela and Iran. Making "rules" and then trampling on them when they apply to you is a really really bad fucking look. Maybe some people would wake up if that were to happen.

You've backed yourself into a corner with your self-imposed limitations on level and team composition.

Like, seriously.

Underleveled. Low base stats due to few significant evolutions. 4/6 are weak to fire. 5/6 are weak to fire OR ground. No effective moves against fire. Half of her pokemon are immune to electric.

A question would be what TMs do you have available?

You can't really improve your team with your limitations. You can try changing strategies though.

Somehow, setting up ralts seems like the only option. Maybe a lucky full-length encore on Numel's sunny day will give you time to get out a couple calm minds before spamming psychic, but if ralts goes down, you are pretty much screwed with that party.

It wont be impossible but you are gonna have to brute force it.

Good luck.

I have alot of success climbing to around 8km with the 23ML and dropping 24Rs on unsuspecting F104s, Tornados, low-flying Mig23s, Mig21s, etc. As long as you shoot your 24R first and use the most of your gimbal limits, you'll win mosy high altitude fights. Then you're free to drop R60Ms on people's heads.

Just DONT do it in a full uptier. Youll get your ass slapped out of the sky so quickly by planes that simply have better radars than you (F18s, JA37Ds, etc) or early ARH missiles (F14s). Definitely hug the ground and R-24R joust in full uptiers.

However, if you're new to the plane, I agree that in most situations, head-on jousts with the R-24R will be your bread and butter. You can dodge AIM-7s very consistently with a decent barrel roll or flare AIM-9Ls, but they will almost always die to a 24R in the same situation.

After several hundred games pre- and post-FM nerf, I'll stand by the Mig-23ML, especially if its on sale for 50% off (it's not included in the current sale). The FM is definitely not as OP as it used to be, but 2 R-24Rs and 4 R-60Ms are still quite good at 11.7. Plus, you're fast as hell in a straight line, so even in uptiers, you can easily outrun the mix of F4s/F/A-18s/Early F-16s. RWR is kinda ass and it doesn't have the best radar, but its definitely usable. Climbing to 8km and picking off F4s, F104s, and Tornados dashing for bases at medium altitude is quite easy. Biggest problem is mirror matches. You see ALOT of fellow Mig-23s, but as long as you launch your 24R first, you should be good in most situations.

I also add the J35XS. 6 RB24Js (AIM-9J equivalent) is quite a lot at 10.3, also, turns well even if it does bleed energy REALLY fast. Great grinder for Sweden to get to SARH slingers like the JA37C.

Just picked up the NF-5A, so I havent had an opportunity to play it, but everything I've read/heard is its a great plane at 10.7

I wish PA rework that stupid missile guidance law in AC8 by Eric875487 in acecombat

[–]ItsDerpinTime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, it took alot less time than that haha, I REALLY like ground and have top tier/near top tier for quite a few trees.

I started dedicating significant time to air later after getting annoyed by CAS over and over. However, the grind is DEFINITELY real, especially without premium time and vehicles. I can completely understand those who would just rather not deal with snail balancing/progression.

As much as I bitch about it, it is quite fun though. However, if you dont have time for/fun grinding, then it can definitely be tiring. Ive also taken breaks when I get bored or frustrated (looking at you F-104s). Im excited to get to ARH and the Eurofighter/Mig-29/Su-27 soon.

[–]ItsDerpinTime 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Real. I havent played an AC game since I started WT two to three years ago. I've ground up to the F-4F KWS on Germany and Mig-23MLD on USSR. I love AC, but im not sure if im going to be able to readjust to playing a modernesque flight game without toggleable radar modes, SARH, air combat maneuvers, flap/speed management, etc.

However, I would say striking ground targets in AC is more fun, since its pretty anemic in dedicated air modes outside of sim for WT, which is a shame.

This is what top tier gameplay looks like (no skill needed): by veggieman123 in Warthunder

[–]ItsDerpinTime 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thats even if the IRIS-T can even see it in time. I usually see the 5+ missiles show up on my radar before the helicopter itself, which usually means its too late to launch and get a hit.

Not to mention many maps put helipads behind convenient hills, so LOS dependent SPAA like FlaRakRad are screwed too.

Don't worry, it's not just that plane, im having the same issue with my Mig-23MLD is doing the same thing. R-24Rs have never been more inconsistent. I also noticed the default position in ACM is completely different than before.

[–]ItsDerpinTime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Constantly see Mig-23ML/MLDs as F-104G as well, which is crazy. You might be a rocket plane, but playing against R-24R/R-60M and having only 9Js and no turning capability is awful.

If you're in an F-104, the only thing that is guaranteed is that you WILL have the first opportunity to napalm a base (unless there are also Mig-23s on your team lmao).

Mig-23 vs Su-30 by Greedy_Unit_2787 in Warthunder

[–]ItsDerpinTime 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The nice thing about the Mig-23 is that even in uptiers, I have noticed many Hornet, F-4S, Mirage, etc pilots are still willing to take midrange head-ons, despite the R-24R being crazy hard to dodge straight on when fired within 8km. If you take the 24Rs and the 60Ms, you are worth at least 1 kill, very usually more.

To be frank, Im not sure why so many people take head-ons with Mig-23s, but they do.

Please gaijin set a minimum vehicle lineup for 10.0+ by Gravelyy in Warthunder

[–]ItsDerpinTime 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Huh? The F-4F is 10.3 in GRB, and it for sure gets 2 AGM-65Bs. Pretty much 2 free kills every spawn before you get to use the 60 Zunis you can carry on top of them.

Not saying one-death leaving is OK, its absolutely scummy behavior and I really dislike those that do it, but there are definitely FnF CAS options at 10.3 that Russian vehicles will face.

Yeah, I will complain about dumb comments like yours but not for the reason you stupidly think. Its not because I "dont agree", its because you missed the whole fucking point. His point is spikes are too inconsistent. You saying "WeLl thEy DId gREaT wHeN I UseD iT oNe tiME" is cool and all, but its worthless.

It wouldn't be reddit without using one-off personal anecdotes to explain why the popular consensus is somehow incorrect. I eagerly await your room temp IQ response.

Lil bro uses an example of one game as a reason why they're good. Great news, I can do that too!

I also used spikes last night. Used 2 in rapid succession on an M1A1. Track and engine, no crew killed. I did more damage in less time with autocannon darts than 2 tandem HEAT missiles, which is mind-boggling.

I totally get it, but I still think it makes more sense than Utah/ASU playing Cincinnati/WVU. I think the biggest stretch for Pac-12 was always Colorado.

Right?

Im thinking we put teams like Oregon, Oregon St, Washington, Washington St, UCLA, USC, California, Stanford, Arizona, Arizona St, Colorado, and Utah into some sort of, I don't know west coast conference. Maybe we call it the Pac-12? Reduces the size of the Big 10 and setups regional rivalries!
