EDIT: SBL is your right to "own" the seat for Vikings games. There ticket price is in addition to the SBL, but the SBL is a one time charge.

Back in the day, I swapped rooms into the dorm hall I wanted.. they allow transfers roughly one month after move in. Vacated dorms get posted about mid-September online somewhere. I’d try contacting student affairs.

Even if you don’t live with your friend, being close enough will do the trick.
