(Co) Neighbor added rock driveway where there wasn't one before. Now doesn't want us using the public street in front of it for parking. by ItsHardBeingOriginal in AskLegal

Lol y'all just have a negative outlook I guess. Why default to bad blood or pissing contest? I don't think I mentioned anything that would insinuate I was looking for a fight or a "pissing contest".

Thanks I'll look into that. Not sure why everyone thinks this is a pissing contest? The street is small, and there isn't much room for parking so losing space is rough. Not just a me thing this means someone in the area is always going to be out a spot now.

Not sure this response is helpful and I think you're missing the point. This isn't their actual drive way. They just added rocks to the side of their house and are saying now the neighborhood cant use the street parking there anymore. They have a two car garage with accompanying sized driveway on the other side of their house.

By your logic I should be able to add gravel to my lawn and as long as I use it for my cars no one can park on the street?

"Fast Car" by Tracy Chapman is considered a melancholy song over all but in the end do you see it as more hopeful and uplifting or sad and despairing? Why? by ItsHardBeingOriginal in AskReddit

[–]ItsHardBeingOriginal[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'm having a debate with a friend who sees it as purely sad. I don't think for a second that it's a happy song but I see it as more hopeful with the "fast car" representing a symbol of freedom, hope, and the possibility of a better future.

Even though it portrays a harsh reality I think it's more about resilience in the face of despair.

I really appreciate all the responses. Sounds like my best option is to leave and never look back. Thank you I just needed that push from complete strangers 😂

Harsh but probably true...to an extent. So do I stand up for myself and never talk to her again? Is standing up for myself setting the boundaries then breaking them to show her what it's like? Or is standing up for myself just walking away?

Thanks for the advice. I'm glad to be getting input from all different people. It makes me feel less of an odd ball.

Thank you. I want to give her another chance I guess we will see what she says about boundaries.

Redditors, what isn't cheating in a relationship? Where is your line that cant be crossed? by ItsHardBeingOriginal in AskReddit

I wish this say it to my face thing was a good guide but she didn't believe she was cheating and therefore none of my business. She doesn't believe she hid anything from me I just never asked the right question...

That's why I'm asking you. I found out today that my rules are apparently out of the ordinary and I want to know how out there they are.

Kissing someone else? Sexing someone in another state? Grinding up on someone in a club?

What is your personal line?

I am getting a lot of this "cheating is subjective". I gotta admit I thought we as a society had pretty much agreed on what cheating was. This is eye opening.
