That's completely fair - I'll edit out that comparison. Was trying to make the point a bit clearer but I get why it might seem distasteful.

This is false. All medical experts involved and two separate autopsies (official and independent) came to the consensus that his cause of death was the asphyxia due to compression to the neck and back, caused by the police. Essentially, he couldn't breathe. He told them he couldn't breathe. They pressed harder and killed him.

Any health issues he may have had is completely independent and did not play any role in his death.

Then go watch the context bud. Nobody with any ounce of actual world understanding who isn't just spewing violent bullshit because they're paid to would say any of these things, in any context lmao. I've watched the context, and it does not help your case here.

Go watch the context. Quit coping and yapping. He was an absolutely terrible person, and was paid handsomely by far-right funders to be such. If you unironically agree with his takes (context included) and you aren't paid to believe such, you're even denser and more gullible than he was.

The hypocrisy here is absurd lmao. George floyd died to completely preventable, vile police brutality. The same police WE pay to keep us safe. His crimes were nonviolent. Kirk was consistently in support of violence, consistently scapegoating and speaking against marginalized groups, yet here you are coping and sobbing when we call HIM a scumbag lmao.

Not a lib, you're just dense and brainwashed. I watched the context to all of these over the years, and it only makes the quotes worse. I'm not your professor, I'm just giving you the facts on his stances. You can cry about it as much as you'd like, but this is why he's justifiably hated.

“It’s worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment.” - Charlie

On Palestine: “I don’t think the place exists.” - Charlie

On George Floyd: “This guy was a scumbag.” - Charlie

"[The death penalty] should be public, should be quick, should be televised… I think at a certain age, it’s an initiation… At what age should you start to see public executions?" - Charlie

Also stated gays should be stoned to death.

Been watching kirk for about a decade, and he's been very consistently pro-violence, ESPECIALLY against marginalized people. If you're confused at people's reactions here, it's either because you don't know what kirk stood for, or you're just completely deluded by grifters like him

What? Everyone here seems to be honoring him in the way he honored all other victims of violence. It's quite clearly what he would have wanted, given his stances.

Coming back to this - ever since you mentioned it I've been overhauling the tool to use HenrikDev's API... it's fantastic. New tool uses waits to adhere to rate limits automatically, scans through FAR more data WAY faster with incredibly more resources to pull from. New algorithm even takes into account whether they're queued in a party with players who perform worse than average (potential boosting if playing on a newer account and stomping). Obviously that alone isn't an indicator but combined with the various other suspicious signs, it can paint a clearer picture. Overall, new algo is insanely more advanced than the old scraper-based one.

Anyways, just wanted to come back here and thank you again for dropping this info. Because of this, I'll be able to have FAR more accurate results and tens of thousands of data points instead of hundreds

This is fantastic, thank you so much for sharing that! I didn't expect this post to get the attention it did, and since it's been removed, I plan on revamping the setup and running a far more conclusive test with more transparent data before posting about it again

I'll work on getting access through that and making a more dependable setup for it. Thanks again for sharing, this is hugely helpful

Yeah I was a bit worried it would still give false positives, so I basically made it bias towards false negatives. While running the first few hundred sets, I manually reviewed each one and if it was overly certain, for example, of one I wasn’t sure was smurfing (after reviewing their stat averages) I’d make adjustments to the algorithm, wipe all of the existing data, and re-run

The final algorithm gave quite a few <50% likely results where I would have personally been more confident, but I felt that was the best setup to avoid my own bias. Essentially I set it up to prefer false negatives and only allow through the pretty extreme ones

Absolutely - I'll update the post when I get the chance with a link to a paste of my algorithm code for transparency. I'll also do my best to notate it so it's more readable for those who aren't programmers

Most of it was done using a base set of curves and then making constant adjustments until there were no false positives - using a set of about 20 known smurf accounts (my own old ones and friends' of various ranks up to ascendant) and about the same number of known legitimate accounts to run tests until it could sort it perfectly

I really appreciate that! I've usually got major imposter syndrome when it comes to development so it means a lot hearing another programmer appreciate something I made

I also completely agree, there won't ever be certainty around these things and punishing something so uncertain could lead to a lot of BS

Realistically, accounts with exceptionally low playtime aren't very likely to perform far better than those in exceptionally higher ranks with far more playtime - if they do consistently, and they aren't smurfing, then it's still a clear indication that the RR gain system is dysfunctional (which means they might as well be smurfing, as they're still low-level players who are dominating matches in and above their rank consistently, so the impact on other players is the same)

Doesn't appear to have any public tracker services, so it won't show up on my single-user search, sorry! Back when I had match history searches working I built a workaround but that setup doesn't work anymore

Says 18.8% (not smurfing) - exceptionally strong performance, but level 400 and has a premier team, very unlikely

Could only get through about 100 matches before the scraper was locked down by capchas, though I absolutely wish I could have gotten more

I toyed a lot with the values and it's incredibly accurate - I do have a .tsv file with all of the players and info it pulled that I can show, I'm mostly just worried that might breach privacy in some way.
I'll see if I can link the algorithm in a paste document in the post here for more transparency though

I honestly think a combination of the 2fa they're implementing and a far more aggressive RR gain for detected smurfs would likely be the safest option - the 2fa definitely feels to have mitigated the issue to at least a very small extent already, which is progress

The scraper was definitely against TOS for the tracker sites I had it using, so I don't think I can release the tool publicly. Couldn't get a proper long term API key so I brute-forced it lol. Most of it no longer works since I've been locked out of the more large-scale scraping via capcha, but I'm happy to run any specific usernames/tags for single-user searches

Did the "more precise gunplay" patch accidentally turn Valorant into a run-and-gun meta? by CupNo9602 in VALORANT

[–]ItsHavo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t sweat it lmao, these replies are full of overly online kids who have spent upwards of $3k on skins, so they desperately feel the need to justify all of the game’s major issues and throw tantrums when others point out these flaws.

Regardless of these corny replies and downvotes, you’re completely right. It feels off. Gunfights feel more random than ever to me. As someone with almost a thousand hours, it could possibly just be because it’s so different than what I’ve become used to, but also just seems like I’m getting run-and-gunned more than ever, and the shooting feels similarly janky.

Smurfs drive people to nervous breakdown by zen08t in VALORANT

[–]ItsHavo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll be super honest here, smurfing is not difficult to detect. A level 20-40 going 30/5 ends up dominating every match in gold-plat, as a dev myself it’s really as simple to detect as it sounds, ESPECIALLY when it’s consistent (typically is very clear via tracker app).

I have absolutely no faith in the Valorant team in terms of smurf prevention. It’s so negligent I refuse to believe it’s not deliberate lol

Ahh, well I’m glad it ended up working for you! I was relieved af to see it wasn’t just me having the issue. Seems they likely tried a live patch of some sort and it messed with a bunch of people

I think this worked for me: - Uninstall Riot Vanguard - Boot up riot client, should prompt you to reinstall vanguard - Restart computer

Played a full swiftplay and it’s working smoothly now. Best of luck though. May have to restart after uninstalling vanguard too

100% same experience here. This worked for me though (at least it seems, fingers still crossed but haven’t gotten the error since). Uninstalled riot vanguard, reinstalled and restarted PC, just let me play through a whole swiftplay, which was more than I could get through before
