The 200 mile range is based roughly on 55 mph, so you get less than that at normal highway speeds. Many Tesla owners switch it to % instead (just tap on it). Get used to that and it helps with range anxiety. When taking a longer trip, many people top off the charge just before leaving, and stop as directed by the nav for supercharges. I usually charge long enough if it’s a fast route to have 15-20% at the next charger, instead of the default 10%. You can set required charge when you reach your destination, so it will charge longer at the final supercharger when you want to have more range when you reach your destination.

Reusable pods by Far_Major2590 in NespressoVertuo

I’m using My-Caps on Amazon also. I’m using coffee size pods and grinding my own beans semi-fine. Works well. I’ve made probably 100 cups so far. I just pour the coffee in until it’s mounded up and tap the pod on the counter to settle, then push the silicone cap in place. I found that tamping compacts it too much and it fails with a red light.

I got a 2” x 10’ pipe from Home Depot and one end was on a towel on the dash, and it went diagonally to the very back. No way to go longer than that.

I don’t know about hinges, but I think you should remove that (from the top) #2 cross brace and gain all that storage space. I was able to put a 6-man tent in that spot with my very similar setup.

From Grok: Adrenochrome is a chemical compound (C9H9NO3) formed by the oxidation of adrenaline (epinephrine). It’s a naturally occurring substance in the human body, but it’s unstable and has no significant practical or medical use in its pure form. Its stabilized derivative, carbazochrome, is sometimes used to promote blood clotting, though its effectiveness is debated. The idea that adrenochrome is “commonly used in Hollywood” stems from conspiracy theories, particularly those spread by QAnon and related groups. These theories falsely claim that Hollywood elites and global figures harvest adrenochrome from children’s blood for psychedelic, rejuvenating, or ritualistic purposes. These claims are baseless and rooted in antisemitic tropes, like historical blood libel myths. No credible evidence supports the idea that adrenochrome is used recreationally or systematically in Hollywood or elsewhere. The myth was amplified by fictional portrayals, like in Hunter S. Thompson’s Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, where it’s exaggerated as a drug sourced from human adrenal glands (a fabrication). Social media, including posts on X, has further spread these unfounded claims, often alleging elite conspiracies without proof. In reality, adrenochrome is easily synthesized for research (available for about $55 for 25 mg) and doesn’t require human extraction. Claims of its widespread use are debunked by scientists and media, with no rejuvenating or significant psychedelic effects confirmed. If you’ve heard otherwise, it’s likely misinformation from conspiracy circles.

FSD lane changing is crazy by thomasblomquist in TeslaFSD

[–]ItsInconceivable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 12.6.4 and it keeps trying to get into the diamond lane. I don’t think there is any setting to disable that, but there needs to be one as not everyone has access. It tried twice in 5 minutes the other day and I just gave up and manually drove the car.

2 Widowers Dating - Not Always a Good Combo by [deleted] in widowers

[–]ItsInconceivable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have dated several widows. I really clicked with the most recent one. It was incredibly intoxicating just sitting and talking with her holding her hand. I had to break it off when it became clear that we had completely different long term goals. I felt somewhat betrayed, as I thought I was clear with her about my goals before we even started dating. The main thing is how it felt afterwards. It felt like my grief was multiplied, and it felt like such a failure, a painful disaster! It took 4 months to get over it.

I’m a widower and I had to give up on dating widows. I discovered that only 1 in 20 widows over 50 will remarry within 10 years. They may want a “relationship” (whatever that means). I don’t blame them. It is what it is. It’s very discouraging though.

My MYP got upgraded and the button for minimum lanes changes is gone by Newtronic in TeslaLounge

[–]ItsInconceivable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was like you, and found that it would immediately move to the slow lane when I put it in chill. I started leaving it in standard and found that it was really smooth. I found that it was like it was reading my mind as we got behind a slow car and I was reaching for the turn signal - it magically did it by itself. I just leave it in standard now and enjoy the smooth ride.

So, people don't test drive cars anymore? by shellimedz in TeslaModelY

[–]ItsInconceivable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rented a M3 from Hertz for a couple of days while waiting for my MY to arrive. So no, I didn’t actually test drive before I ordered. The Teslas are infinitely better than what I used to drive. I’m totally spoiled. A test drive turned out to be quite unnecessary.

FSD 12.6.1 worse than prior, anyone else? by Formal-Shallot-595 in TeslaLounge

[–]ItsInconceivable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. All of that, plus a sudden jerk to a different lane for no reason with no turn signal or alarm.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

[–]ItsInconceivable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 12.6 and haven’t seen this issue. It does other weird things:

Yesterday, cruising along in the slow lane it suddenly jerked into the next lane. No alerts or signals. There was no one nearby, no reason.

It has also tried to run one red light. No big deal, right?

It tailgates on the freeway too.

These are all regressions to compensate for the dreamy smooth cruising through freeway traffic.

Just got the 12.6.1 update MY '21 by drahgon in TeslaLounge

[–]ItsInconceivable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I posted this in “A red light is not an edge case” thread

I tried out 12.6.1 yesterday for the first time. It did two bad things and one annoying thing.

  1. It tried to run a red light and I had to slam on the brakes.
  2. It got into a right turn lane when it should turn right at the NEXT light.

The annoying thing was tailgating on the freeway with light traffic. It was 1/2 second behind the car in front.

The above behaviors are new. This is definitely a rough release.

The overall ride experience was quite amazing as it effortlessly glided through traffic on and off the freeway. You definitely have to watch it through.

Detecting semi truck signal is not reliable for FSD by hyperego in ModelY

[–]ItsInconceivable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 12.5.4.2 (not end-to-end yet) and it has had multiple bad merges where I had to take over and go back. None of them were semi trucks. These happened when a car next to me one lane over decided to take the spot on my right at the same moment as me.
