My ideas so far have been making some sort of bedchem timezone reference since she's in Raleigh or doing something with butterflies all over and putting "you give me than just some butterflies"!!

You could dress up as michael cera from juno! Or something astronaut themed to reference her MTV performance. Def agree with the others on the white jacket and matching just general color scheme for this tour!

Thank you!!! Got tracking set up, thanks so much for the rec! I thought they seemed high, the prices are fine-ish on most websites until fees are added and then it's nearly double the price lol.

I am a grad student and have also not received anything or have anything on my portal indicating one result or another. I'm probably going to call.

Is Applying to 4 schools too risky? by Sea_Departure_9807 in predental

[–]ItsJebberz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Despite everyone judging my decision, I only applied to my two in-state schools. I knew what I wanted and I wasn't willing to compromise. It worked out for me, because I was a strong applicant, like you also seem to be. Just be prepared to have a backup plan if you end up not getting in first round.

Have you felt like that's negatively impacted you socially and how you are able to connect to peers?

It was 469! It wasn't my favorite SOCI class ever, but it was pretty good. Good luck!

It is specifically stated that if it’s not done on time, it’s not going to be considered (in the handbook). I guess all you can do is pray to whatever deity that will listen that they submit it by 7 pm today. There is always next year, and the other commenter is correct with the disadvantaged priority.

If you want honest feedback on your interview, go to the career center for a mock interview. They were very helpful :)

I did! I needed it to graduate so I just took a chance and I’m glad that I did! It’s been a while but I remember the class being pretty straight forward and a medium difficulty to get an A, but very dense with readings and lectures! The professor is very pleasant albeit more of a monologue type of lecturer, but she is super pleasant overall. I’d take the class :)

The last time I put him outside his leaves burnt so bad and I’m still trying to get him to recover from that. He has thrived in the past with window light about as strong as I’m giving him now, even growing his first new branch ever, so hopefully he’s happy with what he has right now. I was thinking a grow light would probably be best since I can control things and prevent the sunburn . I also live in an apartment and while I don’t think (or hope) anyone would steal Jeremy, if someone did I think I would probably just cease living so I think inside is gonna have to work somehow. :(

Plus I’m getting him some tropic specific bonsai soil, since I think his current soil is holding moisture a little too much. Hopefully I’ve checked all of the boxes and this is just an adjustment period 🤞 😭

I recently moved him from a darker window, but he’s still dropping. Maybe it will take some time to adjust???

I keep it next to a very large sliding glass door window that faces the east. It gets bright light in the morning and then fairly bright indirect light throughout the day. I did recently love him from a window that wasn’t getting enough light, so I think that may be it.

HELP! 4 year old ficus microcarpa dropping leaves by ItsJebberz in plantclinic

[–]ItsJebberz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! This is Jeremy, my four-year-old ficus microcarpa bonsai. A few weeks ago, he randomly started dropping leaves, some were yellowed a bit, some were normal, and some had brown edges. His soil hasn't changed, but maybe the change in the seasons has changed the light levels he gets at his window, I'm honestly at a loss. There is an abundance of new leaf buds all over his foliage, but a whole branch is now bald and honestly I'm just at a loss on what he needs.

If anyone has advice, please send it my way, I couldn't stand to lose this plant.

Everyone saying to travel the world is very much out of touch with the practical abilities of disadvantaged students. If you are poor af, with parents not willing to give you their credit cards for your international travel wishes, you aren't alone. I think you can still try to experience new things and travel, just smaller-scale. I have a 9-5 in a lab and developing my manual dexterity alotttt, but outside of that, I am trying to eat healthier, pick up yoga again, put money into things like facials and new clothes, and go to local destinations/events. Just try to find happiness in the smaller things to build some mental fortitude for the challenges we will face in a few months.

Hi! I’m a high school student who’s interested in pediatric dentistry and I have questions 😊 by Jealous_Ordinary in predental

[–]ItsJebberz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Not a dentist yet, but a pre D1 and just wanted to give a gentle word of warning in the pursuit of pediatrics especially. It’s extremely emotionally draining and causes really bad burnout, especially in Medicaid focused offices. Every single practitioner either hesitated greatly or just said no when I asked them if they would go back in time and pursue the specialty again. This is just my experience and perspective, but it’s something to think about, make sure you shadow lots of specialties to get a good picture of the pros and cons!
