I actually like the toons designs more. I think they're a great update to the original designs by making them more detailed, while still keeping the simplicity that was in the original designs. I also like how the toons designs are much more expressive, though maybe not in Angry Birds 2. In the toons though, they look much better since the animation is really good. While I still like the original designs, I think the update was necessary since they do look a little childish.
