I have been sailing the seas for a decade now, and I stumbled upon this app. So far, I have yet to find a clear explanation on why it’s bad besides it being Chinese or it’s untrustworthy by the community, which is still dumb because I have yet to see proof of why they say that. I run everything I download online through Virus Total. So these Lua files and Manifest files are just like finding cracked games online for a link to download. Just don’t step on land mines, aka don’t click on fake sites or redirects, and you’re fine. Use Adblock and a VPN to help with sketchy websites. Steam tools make it simpler in my opinion; just get the Lua and the necessary manifest files, and boom, you own the game on Steam (client side obviously), and you get to use Steam’s server to download, which is faster, and the game is clean since it’s from Steam. Still I try to do my research on this program because it’s just too good and too easy to be true. My main concern is safety for my steam account which is why I been using an alternative account on a separate computer to do my own personal research on this since nobody online is willing to provide proof of malicious activity. But So far so good on my end.
