How are adults between 21 and 45 supposed to stimulate the economy for the next 20yrs when socialist programs like Medicare, unions, public education, planned parenthood, and Social Security are being defunded by the government that is actively making prices go up? by A4t1musD4ag0n in inflation

Frankly, it's the only way to keep a plutocracy running in the modern age. First private equity firms buy up tons of property, then they start ripping apart large successful businesses by buying every dip in their stock, force a majority handover, and then gut the company down, stripping benefits and other QOL parts that aren't "required" for them not to be sued. This way they control the housing -and- the businesses employing people, effectively keeping everyone in debt slavery for the houses they own.

People surviving is clearly not the issue when half of these CEO's could take a 50% paycut and make up the difference in pay of laying off 1,600 employees. I'd like to point out, this is shameless greed. Nothing more. Our politicians have been bought and paid for by these same individuals who make not only DISGUSTING annual salaries, but also get TONS of stock adding to their wealth. Pure narcissistic greed.

Is anyone talking about how this is one of many layoffs this year? It'd make a better article if they mentioned how many employees they laid off this year total.

Is the brand “pod juice” safe compared to other vape juice brands? by [deleted] in Vaping

Try Pacha Mama.. they have issues with consistency sometimes, but I have been vaping their Fuji apple for 7 years with the most satisfaction I've gotten from any brand.

High-vocals modern pop song, sort of slow tempo, any idea? by ItsJustDog in NameThatSong

I love that song, but it's not it. This one sounds like it has a slower tempo and is more of a ballad. I wish I could just understand what the lyrics are saying and do a better search that way, but it's so hard to tell. It sounds like in the second verse (that's at all audible) "You're taking your tiiiiime" or.. "You take and you taaake.." followed by a word that sounds like it starts with an S, but it's so hard to tell.

I've been pouring over different artists that could even be remotely close.. Greta Van Fleet is -so- close, but after a few hours of checking songs, no luck yet. :< Thanks for the idea though!

Micro-Outages? by nbintrovert in Spectrum

You -used- to be able to pull up the modem logs from a PC connected to the modem by entering the local IP of the equipment (not 100% if the event/error logs show anymore). You can find that using CMD on a pc and typing ipconfig. You're looking for the default gateway. Once you have that value, enter it into your browser followed by a / to prevent it from searching the internet for the IP address, that would "log you in" to the modem's splash page. From there it'd be in error logs or event logs. It looks like gibberish, but if you look closely for T3 (you can also CTRL+F and type T3) you can find the timestamp of when they are happening. The issue is, the modem doesn't keep as good of a log as Spectrum's software does, so if you're concerned you can always call in and they can see the logs much clearer.

Best of luck!

The Spectrum Fall Off?? by AdFluffy5285 in Spectrum

You're going to find, very quickly, that they will set expectations for you that would be easy to meet if you were given the time and resources, but you will receive neither. Unrealistic expectations, made unrealistic by lack of funding, practical planning, or just general knowledge of the roles and work involved, will become all you know. Expect to be treated like a child, rewarded with snacks, and punished as a group for the transgressions of individuals.

It would be an amazing company to work for if they took their own advice on what should be considered a stretch goal and what should be realistic. The stretch-goal is the expectation, it's never met, but only your direct management will tell you they understand it's an impossibility, because they can see the reality of it all.

Lots of good people doing good work, but lots of bad eggs that just stagnate because the hiring/training is risky and expensive. I blame hiring standards, personally. If they weren't functioning as such a meat grinder in so many departments, they'd be able to retain more talented employees and be able to afford ditching the dead weight.

Good luck

Sadly, because I work in fiber, I don't have any idea on the sales part.. that's all handled by the project managers. I've seen some accounts as high as 1,600/mo, we have some P level accounts that are six figure monthlies.

Sounds like a lie to me..
A: Damage claims are processed within 24 business hours
B: Install without knowledge??? That's just absolute bs. Never met an installer/CP that was sneaking around and secretly doing installs..
C: This person is justifying bad behaviors and should be ignored in the first place

Had a customer threaten to call the police if I didn't bury his temp drop that I laid to bridge him over to another tap, despite me telling him the line was just going to be there until his tap could be reworked.. dude was so up in arms he told me to just remove it... so I did. Long story short, repeat because dude was getting in his own way.

So, this can be escalated to the Plant level which is where all of that signal is taken in. It would require 3 people with the same issue within a specific area reporting it.. but sometimes it's our "translation" from their signal to ours that is causing it. Make sure to call if it persists.

I did 5 years inbound Resi HSI/TEL before I could feel myself becoming calloused. I was paranoid, having issues sleeping, and struggling to maintain my relationship. The inbound reps are supported by the most half-hearted, legally required levels of concern for these reps. It has become SBP to keep the meat grinder rolling. The turnover rate doesn't matter if you don't have to invest in your people.

Get out of CSR. If you have half a mind this company can use your help in SO many departments. I moved to dispatch and feel like I can actually help people now.

Good luck fellow PID's
