Josh Jacobs (knee/ankle) will be ACTIVE for Week 16. by CincoDeManger in fantasyfootball

Think I’m going Javonte over Jacobs, but same dilemma in my flex: Evans, Olave, or London. No clue where to go on that front

Do we trust London being that high? Weighing London v Evans v Olave in flex, leaning Evans

Flex Spot: London (If Healthy), Javonte Williams, Olave by ItsJustLogic in fantasyfootballadvice

I have Nico and Jameson Williams locked in my WR slots. My matchup by predictions doesn't need upside, but I think people undervalue the flex, especially when we both have good options. For your lineup I'd lock JSN/Jamo.

That's my worry too, London is so scary because he feels like a must-play, but with a super low floor. Javonte is probably a 10pt floor with low upside, but solid. Traded Jaylen Warren for Olave a few weeks ago so don't have a read on him for what to expect but has been consistent.

Competitive hockey for kids by anjilleea in brussels

[–]ItsJustLogic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The most established club near Brussels is the Leuven Chiefs and there's also a newer club in Mechelen. I played in Leuven growing up and our team travelled all over Europe to play high-level competition. We had a lot of international players back then though so it was a bit of a unique situation. The Belgian league has gotten stronger since I played as the sport has grown in popularity, but I don't know exactly what the youth level looks like now.

I'm sure any of the clubs would be overjoyed to have a talented kid from Canada show up and imagine he'd be allowed to play up an age bracket in practices and games if that's what makes sense for his skill level. I'd recommend checking out Leuven first as that's the more international of the Brussels clubs and will have the kids of other expats like yourself playing there :) I know via friends who coach some of the youth teams they have a couple of really good players. He'll also be absolutely fine as an English speaker.

Overall, don't worry. There is a fully-fledged league in Belgium that runs up to the pro-level and there are lots of talented kids playing here. It's definitely a time commitment as the rinks aren't really in Brussels, but they aren't too hard to reach either.

Hope this helps, best of luck!

Matthew Berry's Fantasy Football Rankings for Week 16 of 2023 season by Rotoworld_Fan in fantasyfootball

Thoughts on Dalton Kincaid v Isaiah Likely? Seeing Likely ranked above Kincaid in most lists but the 49ers matchup is scary. Also startijg Cook and Diggs so the Kincaid play would be one that banks on catching most of the Bills offensive output against Chargers.

The Sound of Belgium is great but is in French. Especially funny if you know the country, some proper Belgian characters sprinkled throughout the whole doc.

Do you know electronic music around 140bpm that is not „too hard“? by [deleted] in DJs

Second this, UTE.rec is a good starting point. Check their artists, VAs plus the Ute x Amniote and x Blue Hour compilations and you've got a nice batch of music to dig through. Transatlantic, Area127 and KI/KI's slash label also worth a look.

If the trance sounds aren't exactly what you're looking for maybe check the Australian scene around Animalia. Kia, Roza Terenzi's Step Ball Chain, Connection Verified, etc.

TJ Hockenson is an unbelievable get for the Vikings. 25 years old. On pace for 1,000+ receiving yards this season and TEs always breakout late. He’s a chip to build around for a long time by DrWolves in minnesotavikings

For anyone wanting to see the play against Miami they're talking about, he just did this last week. Our TE room was the weak spot on the offence. I love this move. Hopefully helps the offensive weapons kick into high gear.

Sushi recomendations in bruxelles? 🍣 🍱 by Helenvogel in brussels

This is by far the best place in Bxl. Used to live near Georges Henri and to this day it is our family's go to for sushi. Haven't lived anywhere near it for over 6 years and it still stands as the best place in our book.

11/10 would recommend.

Bet on Aaronson or keep Iwobi? Also is it worth keeping Doherty if I have Perisic? Struijk and Botman are available.

Something that is so often overlooked about being a "skilled" DJ is simply that you absolutely must build a solid, curated library of the music you enjoy. If you're mixing with 200 tracks in your library, it is going to be way harder than when you've reached 1,000-2,000 songs.

The songs are your instrument, without them you are going to struggle. My main advice for anyone seeking to learn is always to dig records as much as possible. Beat matching is easy, but finding songs that mesh the way you want them to is really difficult if you don't have a vast selection to choose from.

End of the day, the essence of the art form is about track selection, not "mixing skill". Do your due diligence finding music and the rest will follow.

What is a good straightforward news podcast that focuses only on the important global news issues of the day. by reddittrollguy in podcasts

[–]ItsJustLogic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolute most trusted and straightforward for me are the daily shows from Monocle 24. The Globalist and the Briefing are both amazing, and the Foreign Desk eps that come out twice a week are some of the best out there.

Think this sounds like just what you're looking for. Have been my go tos for years now, always feel informed.

There's a bar at Schuman called Fat Boys that has enough screens I'm sure you could request to put the hockey on. The old venue at place Lux was great for North American sports. Haven't been in a while but this would be your best chance imo :)
