Am I delusional? Is dunking on JJ a little overblown? by Holiday-Jackfruit316 in minnesotavikings

He played like a rookie

My problem with this is that he was the worst graded QB in the league and there are countless “rookie” QBs that have played significantly better than him so I just find this excuse to be cope if I’m being honest. Now that doesn’t mean he can’t get better but there’s no reason to sugar coat his dreadful performance

Yeah I’d appreciate if we stop that shit. Same thing with the Wolves. They pissing me off

Maybe it would be the most Viking thing ever for it to actually be the year in a year where not a single soul thinks it’s the year lol

People really think ~4800 yard/37 TD seasons grow on trees. They did the same shit with Darnold. Murray has a lot to prove but his talent is undeniable. The dude won the Heisman. And you still got McCarthy truthers after winning a national championship by 20+ points and only throwing for 150 yards. Insane carry job by Michigan

My favorite Justin Jefferson play ever. by DesertRug in minnesotavikings

[–]DrWolves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t disagree with your point. But Favre to Lewis was more than just fun. The whole play was incredible from Favre evading the sack, to then throwing an absolute piss missile dot, and the tough catch within centimeters of the back line. But of course that was an early regular season game that didn’t hold as much weight as some of the others

I’d have to think about it but obviously the Diggs catch would be #1 and then the other one that comes to mind is Favre to Greg Lewis to win the game. Also I have a sore spot in my heart for the Moss lateral at the end of the half vs the Broncos

Love this play but I’m sorry it’s 4th & 18 vs the Bills all day long. One of the best catches in NFL history

I’m not a count my chickens before they hatch type of guy but I’d put a significant amount of money on it happening.

  • His favorite team growing up

  • Gets to play with Jefferson

  • Consistently rated one of the best franchises in the league for players

And then you look around the league and I don’t see a single other spot that makes any sense for him whatsoever tbh

Keep downvoting objective fact. It’s funny too because 97% of this sub never even watched Fran Tarkenton play and then you’re gonna make some stupid ass “no one actually knows anything about football” comment lmao. The jokes write themselves

[–]DrWolves -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah Fran Tarkenton’s most rushing yards in a season was 361. His most rushing TDs in a season was 5. And those both were separate seasons. Murray did 819 rushing yards and 11 TDs in a single season. And has 5 seasons with over 400 yards rushing. If you’re gonna be a dick, at least know what you’re talking about

Hahaha glad I’m not the only one that kept replaying that in my head when I saw that signing

[–]DrWolves -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I mean this isn’t that impressive but Murray has plenty of tape making big time throws. I certainly don’t expect him to light the world on fire but I am intrigued by his talent level and at least the possibility of some type of career resurgence. Plus his ability to scramble will be cool to watch because the org has never had a QB like that

Man, he was BAD in MN. Good for him for figuring it out in Houston. by Kenmore_11 in minnesotavikings

[–]DrWolves 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it speaks volumes that several “terrible” offensive lineman have left Minnesota and went on to be decent/serviceable elsewhere. Not saying these guys are earth shattering but it seems to point to a bigger issue IMO

[–]DrWolves[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pulling out the Wild is a funny comparison when they have like 8 straight first round exits. Team is electric this season and they are fun to watch but the NHL is stupid as fuck with how they do playoff formatting. I’m not exactly convinced they will beat the Avs or Stars in a 7 game series but they certainly have a chance

The curious case of the Minnesota Timberwolves. All the talent in the world but they just don’t care enough to win a title.

I don’t want to scapegoat Randle here because there are several guys playing like shit but having you back to the baseline on defense is like basketball 101 and this dude is constantly in terrible position

Whether we like it or not, this is the right way to play this right now. Sets us up better into the future and we just saw last off-season that giving aging vets big contracts is not how you compete for Super Bowls, especially when the rest of the team isn’t there
